Why are Wu Dong's four surnames Lu Gu Zhang Zhu?

"Si Wu's surname" refers to the four surnames of Wu Jun, namely, the four surnames of Gu, Lu, Zhu and Zhang in Wu Jun, and its representatives are Gu Yong, Lu Xun, Huan Zhu and Zhang Wen.

Time background

In the Han Dynasty, there was a custom that Yi Tong monopolized the counties, which was also found in the south of the Yangtze River, especially in Wu Jun. Due to the large number of powerful people in Wu county, there are many children of the four surnames who ask for officials, and Sun Quan takes special care of them, so that "there are often thousands of county officials." Since the Han dynasty, local people have been appointed by local county decrees, and so have the three countries.

Because the "four surnames of Wu Jun" flourished, its family power continued throughout the Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties, and Zhu, Zhang, Gu and Lu were still listed as surnames of Wu Jun until the Tang and Song Dynasties, and their social status was still respected.
