The people of Wujin Kingdom in ancient India are the incarnations of the three secrets of body, speech and mind of Amitabha, Guanyin Bodhisattva and Sakyamuni Buddha. They were born in the human world for the benefit of all living beings in the Dharma Ending Period. In the eighth century AD, at the invitation of Tibetan King Trisong Detsen, he came to Tibet to promote Buddhism. He used Tantric magic to conquer the fierce gods of Tibet one by one, making them swear to support Buddhism, and established Samye Temple with Khenpo Bodhisattva. He also taught Tibetan disciples how to translate scriptures, invited great sages such as Vulgar Friend from India to Tibet, translated important sutras and esoteric sutras into Tibetan, established sutra and esoteric sutras and esoteric monasteries, and developed two monastic orders: lay people and monks. , which laid the foundation of Tibetan Buddhism. Therefore, Padmasambhava is considered to be the great Acharya when Tibetan Buddhism first emerged, and founded Tibetan Buddhism. Tibetans respect Padmasambhava very much, so they call him "Guru Rinpoche", which means "precious master" or "precious master", or sometimes call him "Pema Kala" or "Pema Jongni".
Padmasambhava is the collection of all Buddhas in the past, present and future. There are countless kinds of biographies about this great master, among which they mainly appear in the form of "Buddha's Words" and "Terma". Here we will describe it according to the terma biography.
"Manjushri's Great Illusion Net" says:
"The auspicious Buddha Padmasambhava
holds the omniscience intelligence library
This The king also holds great illusions
and the five castes of the Buddha."
This prophecy came true in the Western country of Udiyana.
In the east, south and north of the country of Udiyana, there is a sea on each side. There is an island in the southwest and close to the Rakshasa land. On the island is a lotus tree blessed by the Buddha. The tree is covered with colorful buds. From the golden "what" character in the heart of the Infinite Light Buddha in the Paradise of Paradise, the A vajra struck the flower bud on the tree, and a child of about eight years old, born with a good nature, holding a vajra and a lotus flower was born from the flower. This was the incarnation of the Buddha of Infinite Light, the master of all Tathagata's words.
While this incarnation was explaining the profound Dharma to all the dakinis in the sky and the island, the local king Anzabodhi happened to have no prince. For this reason, the king spent all his treasury, made offerings to the Three Jewels, and sent people to the sea. Find the wishful Mani treasure. On the way back from the treasure hunt, the Buddhist minister Tessenadzin first paid a visit to this incarnation. Later, the king also visited this incarnation and adopted him as his adopted son. He invited him to the palace and named him Padmasambhava, also known as Haisheng Vajra.
This incarnation was welcomed to sit on the throne of Manipal. At this time, it rained down from the sky with food, clothing, and jewelry, satisfying everyone's needs. After this young incarnation entered the palace, he used various games to make countless transformation machines mature. He also married the Dakini Light Holder as his concubine, governed the country of Udiyana based on Buddhist teachings, and was named the Topknot King. However, he felt that governing the country could not accomplish a great altruistic cause, so he made a request to his father to withdraw from the throne, but was not allowed.
Once, Padmasambhava took advantage of the opportunity to play and deliberately let go of the heavenly staff, killing the son of the demon minister and transcending him. However, he was exiled to the cold forest. During this period, he performed fasting in Hanlin Tomb, Happy Tomb, Sosa Island and other places. He received the initiation of subduing demon dakinis and Jingming Master, and was named Xianda Lachida.
When he went to Dana Guo Xiahai, he practiced the words of tantric dakinis and subdued all the dakinis in the sea. While doing fasting in the rough forest area, he also personally met Vajra Haimu, received blessings, and tamed the dragons in the sea and the stars in the sky. The brave fathers of the three bases and the dakinis bestowed upon him the achievement and named him Vajra.
After that, he went to the Vajra Seat, where he displayed various magical powers. When people asked him who he was, he replied: "I am the Natural Buddha." But no one believed it, and instead slandered him. Seeing this situation, he felt that there was no need to stay, so he went to the Saheer Kingdom, where he became a monk under Master Zhabahad and was named Sakyamuni Sangay.
He practiced the Yoga Tantra eighteen times and saw all the intelligent deities in the Tantra. When he asked for initiation from the secret intelligent dakini Bhikshuni Quanxi, the dakini transformed him into a word "Hum" and swallowed it into his abdomen. He received all the inner, outer, and secret initiations in his abdomen, and then from the secret chakra Born, cleansed from three sins.
He also obtained eight methods of practice from the eight great vidyadharas. He obtained the "Illusion Transformation Tantra" from the Buddha's secret place, and learned Sutra, Tantra and all other knowledge from many scholars and achievers in Tianzhu. No matter what kind of dharma, he only needs to learn it once to master it. Some of the dharma has not even been practiced yet. Princess Mandarawa, the daughter of the king of Saheer Kingdom, Shen Dengchang, is a woman with a dakini mother nature. After Padmasambhava took her in, she became the enlightenment of the practitioners. The concubine took her to Maladega Cave and practiced the longevity method for three months. Later, Buddha Infinite Life came to this place in person, gave him initiation, and gave him the blessing of being completely integrated with Buddha Infinite Life. He bestowed eleven million kinds of longevity tantras on him, enabling him to achieve the achievement of long life, freedom and vigilance, and achieve the goal of non-birth and non-life. The dead vajra body. Because he could see the intelligent deity in person, he was named Aihui and attained the fruition of the Awakening Vidyadhara.
After that, he went to tame the Saheer Kingdom. In that country, when the king's ministers pushed him into the fire and burned him, he showed his magical power and turned the burning oil into a sea. A lotus tree grew out of the sea, and he sat cross-legged on the flower. Seeing his magical power, everyone admired him very much and joined Buddhism one after another and entered the realm of no retreat.
In order to tame the country of Udiyana, Padmasambhava went there to seek alms, but was thrown into the burning sandalwood fire by the local residents and demon ministers who knew him. As a result, he once again showed his magical power and turned the fire into the ocean. On the lotus tree that grew out of the ocean, the couple sat cross-legged, and transformed the skull rosary, also known as the lotus skull bead, on all living beings, which symbolizes the universal salvation of reincarnation. He served as the king of Futian there for thirteen years, popularizing Buddhism, bestowing the righteous teachings of the Buddha's sayings, and enabling all living beings to gain extraordinary maturity. The king and his wife and other predestined people also obtained the supreme vidyadhara status and were named the Lotus King.
As predicted in the Sutra of Transformation of Situations, Padmasambhava transformed into a bhikkhu named Wangpo De in order to tame King Asoka, which gave King Asoka the confidence to never retreat. He also spent one night building 10 million pagodas containing the relics of the Tathagata in Nanzhanbuzhou. Try to tame or drive away powerful people who are not conducive to Buddhism
