In 210 BC, Qin Shihuang died. The next year, Liu Bangcai revolted in Peixian County. When Liu Bang established the Han Dynasty in 202 BC, Qin Shihuang had already died for eight years. After that, Liu Bang remained emperor for 7 years. At first glance, Liu Bang and Qin Shihuang are two generations apart. But in fact, the two are only 3 years apart.
Qin Shihuang Ying Zheng was born in the forty-eighth year of King Zhaoxiang of Qin, that is, 259 BC. He was born in Handan, the capital of Zhao State, and became a proton as soon as he was born.
In the fiftieth year of King Zhaoxiang of Qin (257 BC), Yingzheng’s father, Zi Chu (a foreigner), with the help of Lu Buwei, escaped to the Qin army camp that attacked Handan, the capital of Zhao, and successfully Return to Qin. However, Ying Zheng and his mother Zhao Ji failed to escape with Zi Chu, but stayed in Zhao State.
After Zichu returned to China, under the arrangement of Lu Buwei, he was adopted as an adopted son by Mrs. Huayang of An Guojun.
In the fifty-sixth year of King Zhaoxiang of Qin (251 BC), King Zhaoxiang died. Prince An Guojun succeeded to the throne as King Qin, namely King Xiaowen of Qin. Under the persuasion of Mrs. Huayang, King Qin Xiaowen made his son Chu the crown prince. Only then did Zhao State send 9-year-old Ying Zheng and his mother Zhao Ji back to Qin State.
After the death of King Qin Xiaowen, Zi Chu succeeded King Qin, namely King Zhuangxiang of Qin. In the third year of King Zhuangxiang of Qin (247 BC), King Zhuangxiang passed away. 13-year-old Ying Zheng was established as King of Qin, and Lu Buwei took control of the state affairs. It was not until the ninth year of the Qin Dynasty (238 BC) that the 22-year-old Ying Zheng officially took charge after holding a crown ceremony. After that, Ying Zheng got rid of Lao Ai and Lu Buwei, reused Li Si, Wei Liao and others, and began the great cause of annexing the six countries and unifying the world.
What was Liu Bang doing during this period? Liu Bang used his life to prove what it means to be a late bloomer.
According to the research of Huang Fumi of the Western Jin Dynasty, Liu Bang was born in the 51st year of King Zhaoxiang of Qin, that is, 256 BC. According to this statement, Liu Bang is indeed only 3 years younger than Ying Zheng and belongs to the same generation as Ying Zheng.
When Ying Zheng began his great cause of unifying the world at the age of 22, Liu Bang was only 19 years old.
Liu Bang was born in a farming family, but he didn't like working in the fields at all. He was often scolded by his father, saying that he was not as good as his second brother. However, Liu Bang was very generous and didn't care. He still went his own way.
At that time, Liu Bang admired Lord Xinling, the Duke of Wei, who had stolen a talisman to save Zhao, and wanted to join Lord Xinling. Liu Bang did what he said and got up to Daliang, the capital of Wei. However, Lord Xinling had passed away in the fourth year of the Qin Dynasty (243 BC), and Lord Xinling's old client Zhang Er was recruiting clients. Therefore, Liu Bang joined Zhang Er's disciples, and the two became good friends.
Since then, Liu Bang has stayed in Wei. It was not until the 22nd year of the Qin Dynasty (225 BC) that Qin destroyed Wei and Zhang Er did not want to help Qin and fled, so Liu Bang returned to his hometown.
Therefore, when Ying Zheng was a hostage and a puppet, Liu Bang did nothing. At most, he traveled from Chu to Wei.
Fortunately, Liu Bang’s life after that was wonderful.
In the twenty-fifth year of the Qin Dynasty (222 BC), Qin destroyed Chu, Peixian County became part of Qin, and Liu Bang applied to be the pavilion chief of Sishui. Liu Bang was fond of wine and sex, so he found a famous foreigner named Cao, and gave birth to his eldest son Liu Fei. He often went to Wang Lao and Wu Fu to buy wine on credit, and often got very drunk.
The most serious thing Liu Bang did at this time was to send servicemen to Xianyang from time to time, and met Qin Shihuang's large parade of troops. Liu Bang looked at the majestic Qin Shihuang and couldn't help but sigh: "Oh, this is what a man should do!"
Later, Liu Bang deceived his daughter-in-law Lu Fei from Lu Taigong, and his life began to change completely. With the support of Lu Pheasant, Liu Bang rebelled by killing the white snake. In the second year after Ying Zheng's death, Liu Bang responded to Chen Sheng and Wu Guang's uprising and truly became a prince. After the Qin Dynasty was destroyed, Liu Bang was named King of Hanzhong by Xiang Yu. In the Chu-Han War, Liu Bang defeated Xiang Yu and established the Han Dynasty, finally completing his hegemony of unifying the world.
To sum up, not to mention the period when Ying Zheng was still a hostage and puppet, during the entire period before Ying Zheng's death, Liu Bang was just an unknown little gangster. It was not until Ying Zheng's death that Liu Bang officially entered the stage of history and began his truly glorious life. This is simply the original version of "Unless Guo Jia dies, Crouching Dragon will not come out" during the Three Kingdoms period. It can be said that "Unless the First Emperor dies, Liu Ji will not come out."
