The origin of "Sit and watch the flowers bloom and fall in front of the court, smile and watch the clouds roll and relax in the sky".

This sentence comes from "Youchuang Xiaoji", also known as "Zuigutang Jiansao", compiled by Chen Jiru of the Ming Dynasty, and the author was Hong Yingming of the Ming Dynasty.

Chen Jiru was born on November 7th, 1558 (December 14th). He was talented in poetry, calligraphy and painting, and studied calligraphy with Su Shi and others. Mi Fu, whose calligraphy style is casual and elegant, is good at ink plum blossoms and landscapes. He paints plum blossoms on many albums in small volumes, with a natural and casual style and a sparse mood. Its landscapes are full of ink clouds and mountains, and the pen and ink are moist and pine-like, which is quite interesting. On painting, he advocates literati painting, adheres to the Northern and Southern Schools, attaches great importance to the cultivation of painters, and agrees that calligraphy and painting have the same origin. He was fond of playing chess and was highly regarded by Xu Jie from the same county.

There are "Plum Blossom Album" and "Yunshan Scroll" handed down from generation to generation. He is the author of "Ni Gu Lu", "The Complete Works of Chen Meigong", and "Xiaochuang Youji".

He grew up among the students and was as famous as Yin from the same county. Three famous people in Wu competed to become his mentor and friend. At the age of twenty-nine, he burned the clothes of Confucian scholars and lived in seclusion in the south of Xiaokun Mountain. He had no intention of advancing through the imperial examination.
