Later, they were moved by the Emperor of Heaven to send oxen to help them farm. From then on, production flourished, the population multiplied, and towns gradually formed. After that, flash floods broke out and floods hit the city many times. The cattle lay on the top of the city and the water rose up to the top of the city. As a result, the people were able to live and work in peace and contentment without being affected by the floods. In order to commemorate the achievements of the "Golden Ox Entrusting the City", the city was named Woniu City. .
3. There is another legend that a long time ago, the land in Xingtai was fertile and the water and grass were abundant. But for a while, a black dragon appeared, causing trouble all day long and making people's livelihood miserable. Brothers Ji Yun and Ji Sheng, who have been hunting in the Taihang Mountains all year round, saw a sacred cow falling from the sky when they came down from the mountain one day, with its head south and tail north, lying on the ground here. At that time, the cow was a symbol of good harvest and good luck. So, they led a group of people to defeat the troublemaking black dragon with wisdom and bravery, and then settled down where the sacred cow had lain, multiplied and gradually formed a town. People affectionately call their town Woniu City.
