The first recorded blue cat in the world is Russian Blue cat, and its English name is Russian blue. Russian blue cat was once called Archie Anji blue cat in history, with three different names. It was not until the 1940s that Russian blue cats were named, and at other times they were called Maltese cats.
Ancestors originated in the cold Siberian region, and many places called it "the spirit of winter". It has a long history of evolution, and their ancestor "Archie Angie Blue Cat" was brought to Britain from Russian ports as early as17th century.
After World War II, the number of Russian blue cats dropped sharply. In order to restore their population, the breeder crossed them with Siamese cats, giving them some oriental flavor.
They are naturally occurring cats, which originated from Russia's Arkhangelsk port (also known as Der Blaue Engel port), so Russian blue cats are also called "angel blue" cats because of their coat color. It is said that in the 65438+60s, the Russian Blue Cat was brought to Britain and Northern Europe by sailors from the canter Islands ("Der Blaue Engel Islands").
It was not until 1875 that it was first registered as an arcane cat or ("blue flying cat") in the Crystal Palace. It was not until 19 12 that Russian blue cats were given a formal grade difference compared with other breeds of blue cats. Since then, the Russian blue cat has been known to the world, and the silver-gray cat is called the angel blue cat, which was later simplified to the blue cat.
