Yuu Watase is my pen name, because I like the word "you". Now that I think about it, it's really an imposing name (laughs). Sometimes pen names are taken from the names of characters in cartoons drawn at that time. "Magic" has been a persistent theme since my debut novel "Dream of Pajamas", and I like it very much.
