The Eastern Hemisphere is an area on the earth east of 20 west longitude and west of160 east longitude (20 w-160 e). According to this classification, the land in the Eastern Hemisphere includes most of Asia, eastern Antarctica, most of Europe, most of Africa, a small part of northeastern North America, most of Oceania and many other islands. The oceans include the western Pacific, the eastern Atlantic and the Indian Ocean.
20 west longitude and160 east longitude (20 west longitude and160 east longitude) are the dividing lines between the eastern and western hemispheres. The eastern hemisphere lies between 20 west longitude and160 east longitude. The western hemisphere lies between east longitude 160 and west longitude 20. For example, the latitude and longitude of Beijing is: east longitude 1 16, and north latitude is 40. East longitude 1 16 belongs to the east of 20 west longitude and between east longitude 160, belonging to the eastern hemisphere.
Although the western part of Europe and Africa is located in the west longitude, in order to prevent some countries in Europe and Africa from being divided into two hemispheres by the prime meridian, the dividing line between the eastern hemisphere and the western hemisphere is often 20 west longitude and160 east longitude. Compared with classics, small things are big things. (For example, if a place is located at 150 degrees east longitude and 45 degrees north latitude, and the east longitude 150 degrees is less than 160 degrees, then it is located in the Eastern Hemisphere. )
