Can I attend the trial at will?

As long as the trial is open, citizens can attend.

Citizens can attend public cases; According to the location of the court session and the number of spectators, if necessary, enter the court with a side hearing issued by the people's court.

Observers must observe the following disciplines:

1, no recording, no video recording, no photography;

2. Do not walk around and enter the test area at will;

3. Don't talk or ask questions;

4. Do not clap your hands, make noise, make noise or commit other acts that hinder judicial activities.

Persons entering the court shall show their valid identity documents and accept the safety inspection of themselves and their belongings.

When the attendance seats cannot meet the needs, the people's court may issue the attendance seats in the order of application or by drawing lots or shaking numbers, but priority shall be given to the close relatives of the parties or other interested parties to attend the case.

The following persons are not allowed to participate:

1, witnesses, experts and people with expertise who are ready to appear in court to express their opinions;

2 minors who have not been approved by the people's court;

3. Persons who refuse to accept safety inspection;

4. Drunken, mentally ill or other people with abnormal mental state;

5. Other persons who may endanger court security or disturb court order.

Without the permission of the people's court, prohibited items such as guns, ammunition and controlled knives, as well as liquid, colloidal and powdery items of unknown nature, shall not be brought into court, except for the evidence that needs to be presented in court.

Specifically including:

1, firearms, ammunition, controlled knives and other weapons;

2. Flammable, explosive and suspected explosives;

3, radioactive, toxic, corrosive, strong odor substances and infectious disease pathogens;

4. Liquid, colloid and powder articles;

5. Slogans, banners and leaflets;

6. Other items that may endanger the security of the court or disturb the order of the court.

Without the permission of the court, it is not allowed to record, video, take photos or spread by mobile communication tools, so as to prevent one-sided and fragmented information from misleading public opinion and interfering with the trial.

Personnel who appear in court to perform their duties shall dress in accordance with the professional dress code. If there is no professional dress code, they should wear formal clothes. Other personnel should dress in a civilized manner, and the personnel attending the meeting should also dress neatly.

Legal basis: Article 17 of the Trial Rules of People's Republic of China (PRC) People's Court.

All personnel in court trial activities shall obey the command of the presiding judge or the sole judge, respect judicial etiquette and observe court discipline, and shall not commit any of the following acts:

(1) Clap and make noise;

(2) smoking and eating;

(3) make or answer the phone;

(4) Recording, video recording, taking photos or using mobile communication tools to spread the trial activities;

(five) other acts that endanger the security of the court or disturb the order of the court.

Prosecutors and participants in litigation may speak or ask questions with the permission of the presiding judge or the sole judge.

Observers are not allowed to enter the trial activity area, stand or walk around at will, or speak or ask questions.

Media reporters who are allowed to carry out the acts in Item 4 of Paragraph 1 shall do so at the designated time and area, and shall not affect or interfere with the trial activities.
