The Story of Duke Zhou Assisting to Become a King
At the beginning of the establishment of the Western Zhou Dynasty, there was an urgent need to supplement a large number of talents in various positions in the national political system. Zhou Chengwang, who is eager for talents, gave this important job to his uncle, Duke Zhou. It is related to the rise and fall of the country's fortune. Therefore, Duke Zhou never dared to ignore the recruitment and selection of talents. Often when he was taking a shower or eating, someone came to visit, so Duke Zhou quickly put down what he was doing and went to the living room to receive visitors. Over time,? Grab your hair three times a meal, throw up three times and feed three times? This has become the normal state of Duke Zhou's daily life. It can be said that his humility, honesty and awe are entirely based on his unwillingness to miss anyone who has his own knowledge.
Thousands of years later, Cao Mengde, a famous strategist in the Eastern Han Dynasty, wrote in his "Short Songs". Duke of Zhou vomited, and the world returned to the heart? The incisive poem vividly sums up Duke Zhou's tireless dedication to the country. Inspired by this selfless spirit, celebrities from all over the world came to play for the Western Zhou Dynasty, and its national strength became stronger and stronger. The story of the Duke of Zhou assisting in becoming a king has also become a much-told story in history books, and the sage assisting in the monarch has become a good example for future generations to govern the country.
Zhou Gong Meng Die
? Duke Zhou's dream butterfly, this story comes from Zhuangzi? In the theory of homogeneous objects, it is generally called. What about Zhuang? . On the surface, Duke Zhou dreamed that he had become a butterfly, which was very vivid. He didn't know it was Zhuang Zhou. I woke up suddenly and found myself Zhuang Zhou. I don't know if Zhuang Zhou became a butterfly in my dream, or if the butterfly dreamed that he became Zhuang Zhou.
Zhuangzi dreamed that he would become a butterfly one day, and when he woke up, he found that he was still the original Zhuangzi, so he didn't know whether he dreamed of the butterfly in Zhuangzi or the butterfly's Zhuangzi. So Zhuangzi raised a philosophical question here, that is, how people should know the truth. If the dream is true, people have no ability to know that they are dreaming.
Now most people think that what people see and think after waking up is real, and those dreams are illusory and unreal. Zhuangzi doesn't think so. Although waking and dreaming are two different realms, people are people and things are things, and they are not the same. However, they only represent a phenomenon, a form in motion. Zhuangzi used a very simple fable to raise a very heavy topic for mankind, that is, the question of life and death.
Through a simple story, it shows the author's dreamlike attitude towards life, and at the same time connects the metaphysical Zhuang Zhou with the butterfly. No matter how ever-changing the world is, it is only the materialization of Tao. Zhuang Zhou or butterflies are just nothingness, so they are also called you? Wu qi? .
Zhou Gong Zhou Chengwang
Who is Duke Zhou? Zhou Gongdan's surname is Ji Dan, and later he was called Shu Dan. He is the fourth son of Wen Wang Jichang and the younger brother of Wu Wang Ji Fa, which explains why Wu Wang trusted his son, later Zhou Chengwang, to trust Zhou Gongdan. Because Uncle Dan's fief was in the Zhou Dynasty, he was later called Zhou Dan or Zhou Gongdan. He developed politics and military affairs in the Western Zhou Dynasty, and was also a famous thinker and educator in the Western Zhou Dynasty. Naturally, the Duke of Zhou that we now know is Zhou Gongdan.
Zhou Chengwang, surnamed Ji Mingsong, is the grandson of King Jichang of Zhou Wen and the son of King Ji Fa of Zhou Wuwang. Zhou Wuwang died after four years in office, and Zhou Chengwang, who was only 12 years old, succeeded him and became the second king of the Zhou Dynasty in China. According to historical records, Zhou Chengwang was born in 1055 BC, and died in 102 1 year BC, at the age of 35, when he reigned for 2 1 year. Because he was young when he succeeded to the throne, he was afraid that his ministers would fight again, so Zhou Wuwang's younger brother Zhou Gongdan, Zhou Chengwang's uncle, came to power on his behalf, waged war, put down the rebellion in the Third Prison, killed Guan Shu and exiled Cai Shu.
Generally speaking, after Zhou Wuwang's death, Zhou Gongdan provoked the beam of the Western Zhou Dynasty, assisted the young Zhou Chengwang, worked hard to stabilize the rule of the Zhou Dynasty, helped Zhou Chengwang through the most difficult period, and taught Zhou Chengwang everything, loved him, taught him how to govern the country, taught him how to govern the country, and taught him how to love the people. It can be said that his early thoughts and efforts contributed to the prosperity of Zhou for hundreds of years. What is even more rare is that Zhou Gongdan, the most ruthless monarch, was able to resist the temptation of power and return to Zhou Chengwang, which showed his true nature.
