The realm of self-cultivation

The ancient ways of self-cultivation were "quietness" and "forbearance". The ancients emphasized the word "quietness" and the word "forbearance" in the way of self-cultivation. For example, Zhuge Liang has "Nothing can be achieved without quietness" and "Stay away from it with quietness", while Zeng Guofan admires the kung fu of "forbearance". This is reasonable. The ancients called it "forbearance", so the ancients said, "impetuous, shallow and narrow-minded, these eight characters are taboo for people who enter Germany." To get rid of this character, you only need one word, saying to be quiet. " "Everything is the best" and so on, showing the importance of "quietness" and "forbearance". My own simple understanding of self-cultivation and efforts to spur myself are four words: be a tolerant and kind person, have. Although I am far from indifferent to my ambition, I have been immersed in the purity of Buddhism for an instant before I realize how difficult it is to be really "quiet".
