There are many small snails in the fish tank. What should I do?

Most of these snails are brought into the fish tank by aquatic plants, so they should be soaked in potassium permanganate 10- 15 minutes after they are bought. Moreover, there should not be too many aquatic plants in the fish tank, because when the light is strong, the fish tank will produce a lot of algae, which will make these snails grow rapidly.

Snails are harmless to fish and harmful to aquatic plants. There are several ways to remove it.

1 Manual cleaning: Small snails are attached to the leaves of aquatic plants or the walls of glass jars. You can clean the fish tank and catch all the snails. Snail eggs must be killed, or they will grow snails again.

Biological removal: You can put chocolate dolls, submarines or eight-character dolls (all of which belong to puffer fish and are generally sold in the market of flowers, birds, fish and insects), so that fish that eat snails will eat snails and will not harm fish and aquatic plants. But the only thing to note is that the chocolate doll is 3-5 cm smaller and very gentle. However, the submarine has a bad temper. If you raise some fast-swimming fish such as tiger skin or Australian rainbow in middle school, you can put them directly into the tank to kill snails. If it is a peacock or a traffic light, it is best not to put the submarine directly. You can take the fish out of the tank first and put it in the submarine. After 3-4 days, there will be basically no snails left, and then take the fish out of the submarine and put it back in the original tank. The effect is obvious. Eight-character dolls like slightly alkaline water. Once the task is completed, try to move it out and raise it. So there is a lot of inconvenience.

3. Chemical cleaning: use potassium permanganate to clean the fish tank once, or use special snail remover for aquarium. However, the dosage should be accurate to avoid harm to fish and aquatic plants.

When changing water, gently push the snail attached to the wall of the tube with a straw to make it leave the wall of the tube and suck it away.
