The so-called Yin year refers to the Yin year among the twelve earthly branches. The Yin month and Yin day include: 1. Chouji (belonging to Ox); 2. Maoji (belonging to Rabbit); 3. Siji ( Snake); 4. Weiji (belongs to sheep); 5. Youji (belongs to chicken); 6. Haiji (belongs to pig); others belong to rat, tiger, dragon, horse, monkey, and dog. These belong to Yang. branch. These are only the twelve earthly branches; there are also ten heavenly stems: A, B, E, Geng, and Ren. These five heavenly stems belong to the Yang stem. The next five Yin stems are: Yi, Ding, Ji, Xin, and Gui. These five belong to the five Yin stems. . The above ten heavenly stems and twelve earthly branches form the four pillars and eight characters.
In a yin year, there is a yin month and a yin day. The ancients used the combination of heavenly stems and earthly stems to record time. There are ten heavenly stems, which are: A, B, Bing, Ding, Wuji, Geng, Xinrengui. As the first character of the year, it is called the mother. There are twelve earthly branches, which are: Zi Chou Yin Mao Chen Siwu Wu Shen You Xu Hai, as the second character of the year, called Zi.
When counting years, first start with the heavenly stems, then add the earthly branches to form two characters, and add quantifiers such as year, month, day, and hour to complete. Such as Jiazi year, Yichou year and so on. We can easily see that the ten heavenly stems and the twelve earthly branches cannot match, so the ancients let this combination continue until the last character "Gui" of the heavenly stems matches the last character "hai" of the earthly branches, and the year of Guihai will not end. We can calculate that this combination will be repeated five times, which is sixty years. This is the origin of sixty years.
Algorithm
If one to twelve is used to match the twelve earthly branches, then odd numbers are yang and even numbers are yin, and the yin and yang years can be distinguished.
The next step is to mark the month. The ancients had a simple way to mark the month. Each of the twelve earthly branches corresponds to one, and then the special prefix "Jian" is added in front. That's it. Such as Jianzi month, which is the first month of the lunar calendar. Such months also have yin and yang, just like years.
The next step is to count the days. The method of counting the days is the same as the year. The cycle of sixty days can also be divided into yin and yang.
It is very clear to record the time. The twelve earthly branches are used to record the twenty-four hours, starting from Zi Shi (23 o'clock to 1 o'clock) and ending at Hai Shi (21 to 23 o'clock).
There are four year, month, day, and hour. The Yin and Yang family calls them four pillars, and each pillar has two characters, so it is called "eight characters". According to this method, the yin year, yin month, yin day plus yin hour is the rare numerology "horoscope full yin". To say it is rare is actually just a rough statement. Countless babies are born in a day, so why is it rare? So don’t be pretentious either. Since there is a saying that "the eight characters are all yin", there is also a saying that the "eight characters are all yang".
