Wenzhou dialect itself is difficult to pronounce, can not be expressed in words, and the software can hardly be translated. However, although Wenzhou dialect has a strange pronunciation, its grammar is similar to that of Mandarin.
Wenzhou dialect is a sub-dialect of Wu dialect, also known as Ou dialect. Used by local residents of Han nationality in Wenzhou, China, it belongs to Sino-Tibetan language family-Chinese language family-Wu language family-Oujiang dialect-Wenzhou dialect. It is quite different from Mandarin in pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. Wenzhou dialect cannot communicate with northern Wu dialect, which belongs to southern Wu dialect.
Wenzhou dialect (Ou dialect) can be roughly divided into three types by region: pure Ou dialect, quasi-Ou dialect and semi-Ou dialect. Pure European region speaks pure accent, including Lucheng, Longwan and Ouhai in Wenzhou, with a population of 6.5438+0.42 million. Yongjia and Yueqing have a population of 2.3 million. The accent in the quasi-European area is slightly deviated, involving Rui 'an, Wencheng and Pingyang with a total population of 3.2 million. The semi-European language area involves more than 950,000 people in Yueqing and 40,000 people in Dongtou, with a total population of 6,543.8+0,000.
Wenzhou dialect (European dialect) has strong internal consistency, but there are also great regional differences, including phonetic differences and lexical differences, so that it is sometimes difficult to talk between two different Wenzhou dialects. The complexity of Wenzhou dialect can be described as "three miles with different tones and ten miles with different sounds".
Wenzhou dialect (Ou dialect) is relatively old in pronunciation and language structure, and it is difficult to communicate with Mandarin or other Wu dialects, so it is difficult for people outside Wenzhou to understand it. The pronunciation of the stressed position is not aspirated and unvoiced, but there is a voiced feeling in the hearing, which is very different from the northern Wu dialect and is often puzzling. According to Wen Zhou Hua Zhi and Wen Zhou Hua by Shen Kecheng, there are 35 initials (including zero initials and nnynng), 30 finals (excluding N and M finals), 8 tones and 13 disyllabic tone sandhi. Unfortunately, Wenzhou dialect has a relaxed tone.
