What type of eyes do I have?

The common types of eyes among Chinese people are as follows:

1) Standard eye: also known as almond eye, the eye is in a standard position and is characterized by an appropriate proportion of the width of the palpebral fissure, which is relatively small. Danfeng's eyes are wide, the canthus is blunt and rounded, and the black eyes and whites of the eyes are exposed more, making her look handsome and pretty. What we call almond eyes now refers to eyes that are round, very cute and beautiful. Rich in oriental flavor.

2) Danfeng eye: The medial canthus angle is larger than the lateral canthus angle, and the outer canthus angle is slightly higher than the medial canthus. The palpebral fissure is slender, narrow on the inside and wide on the outside, and spreads out in an arc. The black eyes and whites of the eyes are moderately exposed, the eyelid skin is thin, and the shape is delicate and cute. It is one of the standards for beautiful eyes for both men and women.

3) Slender eyes: Also known as long eyes, the eyelids have small eyelid fissures, small eyelid curvature, and relatively few black eyeballs and whites are exposed. It gives the impression of a lack of eyesight and often appears to be lackluster.

4) Round eyes: also called litchi eyes and big eyes. The palpebral fissures are high and wide, the eyelid margins are arc-shaped, and the black eyeballs and whites of the eyes are exposed, making the eyes appear round and enlarged. It gives people a bright-eyed, clever and spirited feeling, but is relatively lacking in elegance.

5) Squinted eyes: The palpebral fissures are small and narrow, the inner and outer canthus angles are both small, the black eyeballs and whites of the eyes are mostly blocked, and the eyeballs appear small. Appears mild, but has a sense of photophobia. Lacking the sparkle of the eyes and the charm they deserve.

6) Suspended eye: also called upturned eye. The lateral canthus angle is higher than the medial canthus angle, the eye axis tilts too high outwards and upwards, and the lateral canthus angle becomes upward. When viewed bilaterally, it appears as a reverse "eight figure" shape. Appears to be sensitive and witty, with sharp eyes, but with a sense of coldness and severity.

7) Downturned eyes: also called downturned eyes. The appearance characteristics are opposite to those of hanging eyes. The lateral canthus angle is lower than the medial canthus angle and the eye axis slopes downward, forming an eye shape with a downward slant in the outer corner of the eye. It looks like a "figure eight" when viewed bilaterally. It looks innocent and cute, but gives people a gloomy feeling and looks too old.

8) Triangular eyes: Generally, the canthus angle is normal. This is mainly due to the relaxation and drooping of the middle and outer sides of the upper eyelid skin. The outer canthus angle is covered and becomes smaller, making the eye fissure become approximately triangular. It is more common in middle-aged and elderly people. There are also people with congenital trigonophthalmia, but they are rare.

9) Deep eye sockets: The main feature is that the upper eyelids are sunken and not full, which is more common in Westerners. The eye shape looks neat and stretched, with a sense of maturity when young, but gives a sense of fatigue in middle-aged and old people, and looks haggard when excessive.

10) Swollen eyelids: Also known as goldfish eyes, the eyelid skin is hypertrophic, the subcutaneous fat is bloated, and the bulges are bulging, which results in a weakened three-dimensional sense between the eyebrow arch, bridge of the nose, and eye sockets, resulting in an unsightly appearance. It makes you feel inflexible, slow and in a bad mood.

11) Telecentric eyes: The main feature is that the distance between the inner canthus is too wide, and the eyes are too far apart, which makes the face look wider, loses the beauty of proportion, and looks excessively dull.

12) Near-center eyes: The main characteristics are that the distance between the inner canthus is too narrow, the eyes are too close, the facial features are pinched, the three-dimensional sense is enhanced, the eyes appear serious and nervous, and there is an excessive sense of melancholy.

13) Exophthalmos: The palpebral fissures are too wide, the eyeballs are large and protrude forward, the black eyeballs are completely exposed, and the whites of the eyes are also exposed. If the whites of the eyes are exposed around the black eyeballs, it is commonly known as "four white eyes". Excess is a symptom of pathology.

14) Small round eyes: The main feature is that the height and width of the palpebral fissure are short, but the proportion itself is still moderate. The eyelid margin is in a small arc shape, the corners of the eyes are slightly widened, the eyeballs are dark, the whites of the eyes are less exposed, and the eyeballs appear smaller. The entire eye shape is small and round, which affects the coordination of the overall face shape and gives people an impression of intelligence and persistence, but lacks energy and charm.
