The Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, is one of the largest traditional festivals in our country. On the occasion of this grand festival, in order to let the students understand the origin and customs of this traditional festival, a detailed introduction was given to the students in the class meeting.

The Dragon Boat Festival is also called the Dragon Boat Festival. The meaning of "Duan" is the same as "the beginning". Calling it "Duanwu" is like calling it "the fifth day of the lunar month"; the word "五" in the Dragon Boat Festival is also the same as "the fifth day" Similarly, according to the order of the earthly branches, May is the "noon" month. And because noon is "Yang Chen", the Dragon Boat Festival is also called "Duan Yang".

There are many theories about the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival. So far, the most influential view on the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival is the commemoration of Qu Yuan. In the field of folk culture, Chinese people associate the dragon boat racing and eating rice dumplings during the Dragon Boat Festival with Qu Yuan. It is said that after Qu Yuan threw himself into the river, the local people injured him and died, so they tried their best to rescue him in boats because of the custom of boat racing. It is also said that people often put food into the water to worship Qu Yuan, but most of them were eaten by dragons. Later, they used neem because of Qu Yuan's reminder. Rice is wrapped in leaves and colored silk is wrapped around it to make the later rice dumplings. The main customs of the Dragon Boat Festival include: eating rice dumplings, putting mugwort or calamus on the door to ward off evil spirits, tying a thread of longevity, drinking realgar wine or using it to disinfect, hanging sachets, racing dragon boats, traveling around all kinds of diseases, etc.

Activity 2: Collect Dragon Boat Festival poems:

In the "Dragon Boat Festival" themed class meeting, students were actively mobilized to collect poems about the Dragon Boat Festival, and students were encouraged to try to compose their own Dragon Boat Festival poems. Feel the national integrity of Qu Yuan.

With the continuous success of the national earthquake relief work, on the occasion of the annual Dragon Boat Festival, the whole class took active action and started from what I did. The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival in my country with a long history and rich customs.

However, just in 2007, South Korea has applied in advance for the Dragon Boat Festival to be protected as a cultural heritage of Southeast Asia. This gives us a great warning: all kinds of primary and secondary schools should hold more such theme activities to love our traditional cultural customs and let them They are passed down from generation to generation!

Student:

This is my first time learning to make zongzi. I feel it is very fresh and my classmates are also very excited. Everyone was so excited that they were eager to try. They all looked at the aunt in the community, waiting for her teacher to give the order: the first step is to roll the rice dumpling leaves into a triangle shape, and the bottom should be tightly closed without leaving any small openings. But I couldn't roll it well over and over again, and finally rolled it to the seamless requirement. Unexpectedly, with a move of my hand, the shape that I had finally rolled fell apart again. Alas, I had to start over. Looking at my companions, they are all working towards the highest goal of "seamless rice dumpling leaves". Looking at the aunties in the community, they are already teaching how to put glutinous rice.

The most difficult aspect of making rice dumplings is probably the word "Bao". How to wrap the rice so that it does not leak out, and how to wrap the rice dumplings into a beautiful three-dimensional triangle is a skill. Many people fell at this hurdle. Many students still failed to wrap up the standard three-dimensional triangular rice dumplings until the end. What they wrapped, wrapped, and wrapped were flat triangles that our class teacher jokingly called "sandwiches." Zongzi. After being busy for a long time, even though I didn't make a truly qualified "triangular rice dumpling" by the end of get out of class, I still felt that this class was very fulfilling. Because: it made me feel Qu Yuan's ardent patriotism more deeply, and it also inspired my patriotic enthusiasm; it also made me understand more deeply that doing something (even the most inconspicuous thing) is not casual. The truth that I can succeed in just one step inspires me to be more down-to-earth and perseverant in my studies. Only in this way can I gain something.

After the race started, I waved the small flag left and right to direct the progress and retreat of the boat. Under my command, the rowers thought in one place and worked hard in one place. Our dragon boat was like a long dragon disappearing in the waves and mist, heading straight to the finish line.
