Zhou Tong (official history records as "Zhou Tong", about 1040-1119), courtesy name Guangzu, was a native of Tongguan, Huazhou, Shaanxi Province. He was a martial arts master in the late Northern Song Dynasty. He was famous for his archery skills and was known as "Zhou Tong". "Shaanxi Hero's Iron Arm Zhou Tong". I believe that my introduction has left everyone in a fog, thinking in their minds, who is this hero? He looks very powerful and sounds familiar, but he just can't remember it.
Everyone must have read "Water Margin". There are many heroes in it, but there are also many hidden masters, and Zhou Tong is one of them. Maybe everyone has paid attention to the 108 heroes in Liangshan, so they don't have a deep impression of this person, but everyone must have heard of the four disciples under him.
Jade unicorn? Lu Junyi
His eyes are bright, his eyebrows are divided into eight characters, and his body is nine feet like silver. He is majestic and looks like a god. Habitually wielding a stick, the body-protecting dragon has unparalleled skills. The capital has a clean family history and a wealthy family. The killing ground is close to the enemy's position, rushing through thousands of horses and sweeping back thousands of troops. More loyal to the liver, the sun is strong, and the energy is soaring. He is generous and generous, and his reputation is spread all over the world. Lu Yuanwai's double name is Junyi and his nickname is Yu Qilin.
Lu Junyi originally disdained being associated with the heroes of Liangshan, and once fought with the heroes of Liangshan at Jinshatan Beach, and was captured alive in Liangshan. Song Jiang and others persuaded him to stay, but Lu Junyi refused, and then Song Jiang asked Lu Junyi to stay. He stayed in Liangshan for a long time and sent people outside to spread false news that Lu Junyi had defected to Liangshan. Lu Junyi went down to Liangshan and was killed by a traitor when he returned home. The heroes of Liangshan rescued him. From then on, Lu Junyi became a loyal supporter of Liangshan. In the battle of Zengtou City, Lu Junyi captured the fierce general Shi Wengong alive and firmly occupied the second spot among the Liangshan heroes. He ranked first in combat prowess in Shuibo Liangshan, and his martial arts skills were unparalleled in the world. His skill with a stick was taught by Zhou Dong.
Leopard head? Lin Chong
Wearing a green gauze turban with horns and two white jade circles on the back of the head with beaded temples. Wearing a single-collared green tuanhua jersey, and a double-tailed turtle-backed silver belt around his waist. Wearing a pair of soap boots with the head pointing upward, holding a folded paper Nishikawa fan. The officer had a leopard's head and eyes, a swallow's jaw and a tiger's beard, eight feet in length and a figure of thirty-four or five years old. As soon as this description came out, everyone guessed who it was. Of course it was Lin Chong, the stick instructor of the 800,000-strong Forbidden Army in Tokyo.
Lin Chong is a very vivid character in "Water Margin", and he is also a controversial figure. Because his wife was attracted by Captain Gao, and was later framed by Gao Qiu and others, he was sent to Cangzhou. In the end, his family was broken up, and his wife committed suicide. On the way to being sent, he survived thanks to Lu Zhishen who rescued him, but Gao Qiu and others were sent to Cangzhou. Qiu and others refused to let Lin Chong go, and ordered people to burn the forage farm, Lin Chong's Fengxue Mountain Temple, killed Lu Qian, and was forced to go to Liangshan. Later, they burned Wang Lun and supported Chao Gai as the leader of Liangshan. Lin Chong used a spear to kill him. He is said to be invincible in the world and has never failed in many attacks. He is also one of Zhou Tong's apprentices.
Walker? Wu Song
The body is majestic and the appearance is majestic. A pair of eyes shot cold stars, and the two curved eyebrows were as thick as paint. His chest is broad and broad, and he has the majesty that is difficult to defeat; his words are majestic, and his ambition is soaring to the sky. The heart is ambitious and bold, like a lion shaking the sky descending from the clouds; the bones and muscles are strong, like a brave animal shaking the earth when sitting on the throne. Just like a devil descending from the sky, he is really the Tai Sui God on earth.
Wu Song is one of my favorite characters. He is brave and resourceful, dares to love and hate, and is a true hero. His stunts "Yuhuan Step" and "Mandarin Duck Kick" are very powerful, but he was also taught by Zhou Tong. After Wu Song killed the tiger, the county magistrate wanted to curry favor with the powerful, so he asked Wu Song to send tiger paste to the capital to give to senior officials. Wu Song stayed in the capital and met Zhou Tong. He gave some guidance and taught Wu Song some fists and kicks, so Wu Song improved a lot in his fists and kicks. Because Zhou Tong did not officially accept him as his disciple, he could only be an anonymous disciple.
Sharp Gun? Shi Wengong
The last one is not from Liangshan, but he is also a very powerful character, that is Shi Wengong. He worked as a teacher in the Zeng Family Mansion in Zengtou City, Lingzhou, and was highly regarded by Chief Zeng Zeng. His disciples included the five tigers of the Zeng family. Zengtou City was attacked by Chao Gai's army because he robbed the Zhaoye jade lion horse that Duan Jingzhu dedicated to Song Jiang. Chao Gai was shot and killed by a poisonous arrow engraved with Shi Wengong's name during the battle. Shi Wengong became a public enemy of Liangshan from then on. After Lu Junyi went up the mountain, Zengtou City was completely defeated in another attack by Liangshan. Shi Wengong was captured alive by Lu Junyi, and his heart was disemboweled in memory of Chao Gai.
Everyone may be confused at this point. It stands to reason that Shi Wengong and Lu Junyi are brothers, so how can they kill each other? In fact, "Water Margin" does not indicate their relationship, and These relationship records all appear in "The Complete Biography of Shuo Yue" and "The Biography of Zhou Dong with the Iron Arm and the Golden Sword", and these are all romances, so they are not supported by historical facts.
Didn't such a powerful person really have a disciple? That's not so shabby. Although there is only one, his reputation is not small, and that is Yue Fei.
Yue Fei (Yue Wumu, March 24, 1103 - January 27, 1142), named Pengju, was a native of Tangyin County, Xiangzhou, Song Dynasty (now Tangyin County, Henan Province), and a famous general who fought against the Jin Dynasty. A famous military strategist, calligrapher, and anti-Jin hero in Chinese history, he ranked first among the four generals of Zhongxing in the Southern Song Dynasty. The representative lyric is "The River is Red? I am so angry that my head is full of anger". I believe everyone has learned it.
He surrendered to the army at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty. In the more than ten years from 1128 to 1141 when he met Zongze, he led the Yue family army to fight hundreds of battles with the Jin army. He was invincible and "reached the position of general".
Before his death, Yue Fei's third son Yue Lin asked his son, a poet and historian Yue Ke, to complete Yue Fei's biography. This two-volume biography was completed in 1203 AD, around Sixty years after Yue Fei was executed. However, it was not published until 1234 AD. In 1345 AD, it was deleted and included in the "History of the Song Dynasty? Biography of Yue Fei" compiled by the Mongolian Yuan Dynasty. In the "History of the Song Dynasty? Biography of Yue Fei", there is a quotation that "(Yue Fei) learned archery from Zhou Tong, and he practiced his skills and could shoot left and right. When they died together, Shuowang offered sacrifices to his tomb."
Historical records indicate that Yue Fei had two masters. His maternal grandmother, Yang, hired a martial arts master named Chen Guang to teach the eleven-year-old Yue Fei in marksmanship. But he was surprised to find that Yue Fei mastered it in two years. So Zhou Tong was invited to teach him archery. It is said that Zhou Tong used extremely rigorous training to train Yue Fei's eyesight. He asked Yue Fei to stare at two cicadas on the tree. If one of them flew away, Yue Fei needed to keep an eye on its flight path, but at the same time he also had to keep an eye on its flight path. Keep an eye on the cicada on the tree that hasn't flown away. It was through this special training that Yue Fei developed a pair of eagle eyes.
The author thinks this statement is quite credible, because historical books record Zhou Tong's class:
I tried to learn archery from the local tycoon Zhou Tong. One day, everyone gathered together to shoot and dazzled their abilities. The one who hit three arrows in a row pointed to the ancestor (Yue Fei) and said: "After this, you can shoot." The minister thanked him and said, "Please try it." He drew his bow and fired once, breaking the knot. He fired again and hit again. Tong was shocked, so he gave two of his beloved bows to his ancestors.
And Zhou Tong was also a master who had a great influence on Yue Fei. After his death, Yue Fei was depressed for a time, and he would come to visit the grave every once in a while and make sacrifices of wine and meat on the fifteenth day of every month. Then he used the bow given by the master to shoot three arrows in a row to express Zhou Tong's kindness in teaching.
So it can be seen that Zhou Tong did exist in history, but the only famous disciple in historical records is Yue Fei. As for the traditional disciples Lu Junyi, Lin Chong, Wu Song, Shi Wengong, etc. They are all characters in the novel, and their master is also the Zhou Tong in the novel, not the historical Zhou Tong.
