Besides, life is boundless and light is boundless. People in troubled times, if they don't accumulate good deeds after death, will report with their karma and circulate in the six divisions of the wheel of karma. These six ways are heaven, humanity, Asura, ghosts, beasts and hell. Repeatedly, they will always suffer in the Six Roads. Even if they are born in the sky, the immortals will come down to earth again after they have finished their fun, and then recycle. When the karma is heavy, they will turn to the beast road and the ghost road again. The most unfortunate thing is to fall into the road of hell, take the initiative to survive thousands of times, and find indefinite time. However, as long as you call Amitabha with your heart, at the end of your life, Amitabha will personally lead you to the western paradise and never suffer from reincarnation again.
As for the origin of the name Amitabha, according to the Amitabha Sutra translated by Kumarajiva, this Buddha is called Amitabha because of its boundless brilliance and longevity. However, according to the Brahma Amitabha Sutra and the praise of Pure Land Buddha, this Buddha has countless lives and infinite light, so it is called Infinite Life Buddha and Infinite Light Buddha. One Buddha has two different meanings, which other Buddhas have not seen. In the early classics such as Samadha Sutra, Great Amitabha Sutra and Vimalakīrti Sutra, only Amitabha was named, so it is inferred that the title of boundless life and boundless light was established by later generations according to the original meaning of its name. According to the equal awareness of Buddhist scriptures, the later appearance of Amitabha, and the praise of Pure Land Buddha, Amitabha is called the Infinite Pure Buddha, and his world is called the Pure World and the Elysium World.
According to the Infinite Life Sutra, the origin of Amitabha becoming a monk was uploaded. Once upon a time, the king Buddha lived in the world for a long time. After five robberies, he made 48 wishes for an extraordinary victory. Since then, I have been accumulating good deeds. Until now, there is a saying that the leader of the Pure Land Gate can lead Buddhist practitioners to live in the pure land in the west, so it is also called receiving Buddha. In esoteric Buddhism, Amitabha symbolizes the wonderful observation of the Buddha's body and wisdom, and is called the manna king. To achieve this goal, we must first build a world better than Elysium, so as to capture all beings, and then establish the simplest method to make all beings easy to practice and like to be born in his country. When I became a monk, I didn't know which Buddha's soil was the highest. How to practice the simplest method can achieve great wishes and great undertakings. Therefore, before paying great attention to the Buddha, the Zen master bowed his head and folded his hands, praised the Buddha and praised himself, and said to the Buddha: (I have no great sleep, I only hope that the Buddha will spread the pure land of ten Buddhas and practice Dharma. I heard that I have been practicing as I said, and I got my wish, which made me realize quickly and pulled out all the hardships. ).
Being a contemporary, we should cherish his ambition and wisdom, that is, show the door of practice in detail and talk about the realm of 2 10 trillion Buddha. At that time, the Buddhist monks, their incredible power against the Buddha, and their sincere desire to feel, immediately became known to everyone. The monks were more happy and enthusiastic when they heard the Buddha's words, and they launched the supreme desire for victory. Therefore, in the land of all Buddhas, they have carefully chosen to overcome their own inferiority, and only the pure land in the West is the most unique and suitable. In the past, because of careful verification and difficulty, it was most convenient to choose the easiest way. It's time to say to the Buddha, "I have taken in the strong and strict Buddha land, and I am clean." The Buddha said in his sermon, "You can say that you share the joy with others today.". Bai Buddha, a Buddhist monk, said, "Just listen to my wishes and make forty-eight wishes before the Buddha", creating a new paradise, nine kinds of broad spirits, willing to be strong and willing to be strict, and willing to pull out all beings. Er Shi Fa Cang was deeply impressed. If it is not absolutely superior to the wonderful pure land, few people want to die, or it is difficult to repair because of life. Although it is an extremely superior pure land, no matter how magnificent it is, it can't attract all beings to survive in our country. If so, how can I repay my big wish? Therefore, we regard strengthening the western paradise as the fruit of all sentient beings' destination, and advocate chanting Buddha to practice the cause of death for all sentient beings. Such an unparalleled cause is not easy to achieve unless we are willing to make great efforts! Therefore, the Dharma-Tibetan monk immediately made a big heart, followed his vows, practiced bravely, patiently endured, and did good deeds. Born to be king, rich, bhikkhu, or heaven and man, he often supports himself with four things, respects buddhas, practices a variety of virtues, and even practices all kinds of difficult asceticism, which is unbearable.
For a long time in the past, monks were good at robbery, and the name of the world was Deletilan. At that time, the leader claimed that the treasure was Tathagata, and at the same time, the Zen master was the wheel king. The Buddha, the most precious treasure, once said: [You will become a Buddha in your next life, with infinite life, world-famous happiness and clean land. ]
It should be noted that this Buddhist monk wants to realize this great ambition, and it is not possible to achieve it with one robbery, two robberies or even one million robberies. The treasure has been cultivated for a long time in countless centerless robberies, so as to achieve this incredible merit and strengthen this unique western pure land. At present, it has been a complete achievement, and it has been a long time since 10 was hijacked. Why don't we make a wish to live as soon as possible?
According to "The Buddha said Mahayana is infinite, solemn, pure and equal", Amitabha was the world of King Shi Rao, the king of Miao Xi, before he became a Buddha. When he was king, he liked to listen to the Buddha's sermon and was very savvy. He soon understood these truths that the Buddha said. After that, he decided to devote himself to enlightenment, and gave up the throne to become a monk, and his dharma number was hidden among monks. He believes that there is no end to the suffering in the world, so he decided to help all sentient beings get rid of it. He feels that the suffering of all beings comes from his inner world and the outer world. The pain from the inner world is caused by the greed and evil desire of all beings, and the pain from the outer world is caused by the "filth" of the world we live in. Besides, there is the pain of reincarnation. He thinks that if there is a world without any pain, people's hearts are free from greed and evil thoughts, and the hearts of all beings are as pure as spring water, how wonderful it would be. So that everyone will have no pain in their hearts. One of the most important sources of pain, inner pain does not exist. Another source of pain is the external objective world (our living environment). He thought that if there were no changes in the external environment such as seasons, cold and heat, sunny and rainy days, and the mind would always be so cool, comfortable, pure and equal, there would be no reincarnation world. It would be great if all beings could live in such a paradise forever.
Since then, he has made a great wish to realize such a world. You should know that his will power is unmatched by any force in the universe and is the most powerful force in the universe. After several attempts, his boundless will finally helped him realize the most ideal world in this universe-the western paradise. Since then, it has become the amitabha praised by the buddhas of the ten countries. All sentient beings come to the west with one heart and one mind to recite Buddha. In the western paradise, there is no evil way. If you meet avalokitesvara, avalokitesvara, Manjusri and Samantabhadra, you can listen to Buddhism and live a long life. You can also know the thoughts and destiny of other sentient beings everywhere and get the same wisdom as Buddha.
Amitabha's wish enables any sentient beings who want to live in the Western Heaven to live in the Western Heaven as long as the three conditions of "faith, wish and action" are sufficient. "If I get Buddha, ten sentient beings all believe in happiness, willing to live in our country, or even ten thoughts. If they don't live, they won't get enlightenment. " If you practice the Three Blessings, have sufficient precepts, and have a profound knowledge of Buddhism besides "faith, willingness and action", your taste in previous lives will be higher. Because all the buddhas of Shifang III praised the merits of Amitabha, all the buddhas of Shifang III protected those who read Amitabha. And no matter whether the roots are high or low, you can become a Buddha now and in the future as long as you recite Buddha even ten times. This is one of the great wishes that Amitabha made before becoming a Buddha. Therefore, those who study Buddhism and practice Amitabha are called "the first disciple in my Dharma" (Infinite Life Sutra). Being able to contact Amitabha in this life is also the result of accumulating good roots, blessings and karma. The Ten Buddhas and the Great Bodhisattva all vowed to help all sentient beings who read Buddha live in the West. After living as a Buddha in the west, all beings can gain Buddhist wisdom and go to various Buddhist countries at will to help all beings.
"Sharifutsu, if there is a good man and a good woman, it is known as the bearer. The Buddhas are called good men and women, and they are all protected by the Buddhas, and they all have to return to the three pity and three bodhi. Therefore, Sharifutsu, you should all believe what I say and what the Buddhas say. (Amitabha Sutra) "
Avalokitesvara, a well-known bodhisattva in China, will succeed Amitabha as the western leader. The method of chanting Buddha is a pure land Sect that has been circulating in China for a long time. Master Yongming, who practiced Zen in ancient times and was clean, once said, "Zen has no pure land, and ten people have nine roads." If the shadow has passed, let him go. " If there is no Zen, there will be pure land and thousands of people will go, but if you want to see Tommy, why not be enlightened? Zen and pure land, like a tiger wearing horns, are teachers in this life and buddhas in the afterlife. No Zen, no pure land, iron bed and copper pillars, thousands of lives, no one to rely on. "
The main classics of Amitabha include Amitabha Sutra, Mahayana, Solemn, Pure and Equal Awakening Sutra, Infinite Life Sutra, Lengyan Sutra's Moment to Buddha's chanting, Generous and Wide Buddha's Huayan Sutra's Boundless Liberation, and Bodhisattva's Wish.
Forty-eight wishes
In order to become a Buddha and save all sentient beings, Amitabha showed great compassion and solemnly declared 48 wishes:
(1) The country has no evil wishes: "If you make me a Buddha, those who are hungry for animals in hell will not take enlightenment."
(2) Don't be evil: "If I get the Buddha, after my middle life, I will return to the three evil ways, but I won't get enlightenment."
(3) True gold wish: "If I get Buddha, Zhongtian people don't know true gold and can't get enlightenment."
(4) The same wish: "If I get the Buddha, Chinese people will have different colors, and those who are good and ugly will not take enlightenment."
(5) Wishing for life: "Make me a Buddha: Zhongtian people don't know life, knowing that hundreds of billions of people have been robbed by him, they don't take enlightenment."
(6) Heaven sees everything: "If I get a Buddha, China's heaven and man will not see the sky, and other countries' buddhas will see hundreds of billions, and they will not take enlightenment."
(7) Heaven hears and wishes: "I have a Buddha, and heaven and man in the country don't know heaven. I heard hundreds of billions of Buddhas saying that I don't know the recipient, so I can't be enlightened."
(8) He knows the wish in his heart: "If I get the Buddha, the heaven and man in the middle school will not see his heart, and hundreds of billions of people in other countries will not get enlightenment."
(9) God's foot does not hinder the wish: "If I get Buddha, heaven and man can't have God's foot in our country. Think about it, it can't exceed 1000 billion. Those who are blessed by others will not take positive enlightenment. "
(10) Not greedy family planning wish: "If I get Buddha, Zhongtian people will not get enlightenment if they are greedy by mistake."
(1 1) If you live in a fixed certificate, you will die: "If you make me a Buddha, those who don't live in a fixed gathering will die, so don't be enlightened."
(12) infinite wish for light: "You make me a Buddha, and the light is limited. If you don't follow hundreds of billions, you won't get enlightenment."
(13) Endless wish: "Get Buddha, live longer, drop hundreds of billions, and those who are robbed will not get enlightenment."
(14) I have heard countless wishes: "If I get the Buddha, the voice of the Middle Way can be measured, and even 3,000 people in the world know that it is a sense of fate, and those who know it after a hundred robberies do not take enlightenment."
(15) Make a short wish as you wish: "If you make me a Buddha, there is no limit to the life span of heaven and man in junior high school, except their initial wish. If not, don't be enlightened. "
(16) Don't be notorious: "If you make me a Buddha, a transit person, or even a notorious person, you won't take correct enlightenment."
(17) The Buddhas lamented their wishes: "If I am made a Buddha, there will be countless Buddhas in the world. Those who don't know my name will not be enlightened."
(18) Ten thoughts must give birth to wishes: "If I have a Buddha, I will be born for ten times, and I will be happy. If I want to be born in China, I will even have ten thoughts. If I am not born, I will not be enlightened. In addition to the five inversions, the law is correct. "
(19) On his deathbed, he received a wish: "Make me a Buddha, ten people, cultivate bodhicitta, cultivate merit, make a wish and give birth to our country. Throughout his life, the false order does not appear before the crowd, and he does not take a positive feeling. "
(20) If you want to get the result, you will get what you want: "If you make me a Buddha, all living beings will know my name, cherish our country and cultivate virtues. I want to have my country. If you fail, don't be enlightened. "
(2 1) Thirty-two wishes: "If I get Buddha, I don't know how to achieve thirty-two adults, then heaven and man in junior high school will not be enlightened."
(22) Wish to make up for a lifetime: "If I get a Buddha, other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will come to China in the future, and I will make up for it all my life. In addition to his original desire, he is willing to be free. He wears a big oath and accumulates virtue, except for everything. Travel to Buddhist countries, practice bodhisattvas, support ten buddhas, educate countless beings and establish the supreme way of truth. I went beyond my trip to Changlun, and now I am practicing the virtue of Pu Xian. If not, don't be enlightened. "
(23) Willing to support the Buddhas: "Make me a Buddha, a national bodhisattva, inherit the divine power of the Buddha and support the Buddhas. If you can't eat it all at once, you can't cover countless billions. People who are said to be Buddhists do not take the road. "
(24) Offering random thoughts: "Make me a Buddha, a bodhisattva in China, and show my virtue in front of all Buddhas. If you want to provide what you want, if you don't like it, don't be enlightened. "
(25) The wise man said, "If I become a Buddha, I will become a Bodhisattva. I can't speak to all wise people and accept enlightenment. "
(26) Rona Shen Yan wishes: "If I wish, the Bodhisattva in China can't get the Tao."
(27) All strict wishes: "Make me a Buddha, everything in the country is strict, pure and beautiful, with special colors, extremely poor and wonderful, and can't be called. Its sentient beings even catch the eye of the sky, and those who can clearly distinguish their names do not take enlightenment. "
(28) The Dojo tree shows high wishes: "If I get Buddha, China Bodhisattva is at least virtuous, and I can't know its Dojo tree. The infinite color is 400 Wan Li, and I don't take it. "
(29) Reading the scriptures makes wisdom: "If I am a Buddha and Bodhisattva in China, if I read the scriptures, I will be sarcastic, but I can't argue with wisdom, so I won't be enlightened."
(30) Bian Hui's infinite wish: "Let me be a Buddha, a national bodhisattva, a wise man and an eloquent speaker. If I can limit it, I will not be enlightened. "
(3 1) Take a look at the Ten Wishes: "Make me a Buddha, the land is clean, and the world of all buddhas can be seen in ten directions as infinite as a mirror; If you look at it, if you don't look at it, you won't get enlightenment. "
(32) Miao Yan's last wish: "Make me a Buddha, higher than the earth. As for vanity, palace buildings, flowers flowing in the pool, everything in the country is made up of infinite treasures and hundreds of kinds of incense, as well as * * *. The strict decoration is wonderful, surpassing everyone. Its fragrance is all over the world, and all bodhisattvas practice Buddhism when they hear its voice. If not, don't be enlightened. "
(33) Zhu Guangrou: "If I am a Buddha, the ten sides are infinite, and all beings in the world are incredible. Those who are touched by my light are soft in body and mind and transcend heaven and man. If you don't, you won't realize it. "
(34) I am famous for forbearance: "If I have a Buddha, it is inconceivable that the ten sides are boundless and all beings in the world are inconceivable. Hearing my name, I can't be a bodhisattva who can't live without forbearance. Those who always cling to the depths do not take enlightenment. "
(35) Leave a woman's body: "If I get a Buddha, there will be an incredible world of ten buddhas. There are women who have heard my name, are happy and believe in music, are bodhi-minded, and hate women. After the end of their lives, those who return to the image of women will not be enlightened. "
(36) Practise Sanskrit wishes: "If I am made a Buddha, the world of buddhas and bodhisattvas will be incredible. After my life is over, you will practice Sanskrit until you become a Buddha. If not, don't be enlightened. "
(37) Heaven and man pay tribute to the wish: "It is incredible to make me a Buddha. The people of the Buddhist world and the heavens, hearing my name, worship, be happy and believe in music, and follow the path of Bodhisattva. Heaven and the world pay tribute. If not, don't be enlightened. "
(38) clothes as you wish: "if you make me a Buddha, heaven and man are in the country and want to get their clothes. As the Buddha praised, nature is in the body. If a tailor holds dyes, he won't take the right sleep. "
(39) Happiness is like missing a person's wish: "If I get Buddha, Zhongtian people will be happier than those who miss monks without enlightenment."
(40) In the tree, I wish to say, "Make me a Buddha and a bodhisattva in China. If you want to be strict with Buddha, you can see it on the precious tree in due course. Like a mirror, see its face. If not, don't be enlightened. "
(4 1) Rootless Wish: "If I get the Buddha, all the bodhisattvas in other countries will know my name. As for getting Buddha, those who lack roots can't get enlightenment. "
(42) Purposes of Cleanliness and Emancipation: "If I get the Buddha, all other bodhisattvas will know that I have been cleansed and liberated from Samadha. Living is samadhi, and I am willing to support the incredible Buddha without losing my mind. If not, don't be enlightened. "
(43) Being famous is a blessing: "If I get a Buddha, all the bodhisattvas in other countries will know my name and have a noble family after my death. If not, don't be enlightened. "
(44) There is a moral wish to practice: "If I get the Buddha, all the bodhisattvas in other countries will hear my name, and they will be happy and enthusiastic, practicing bodhisattvas and have a good moral foundation. If not, don't be enlightened. "
(45) Pu Samadhi wishes: "If you make me a Buddha, all the bodhisattvas in other countries know that you have got Pu Samadhi and live in Samadhi. As for becoming a Buddha, you will find that all Buddhas are incredible. If not, don't be enlightened. "
(46) Smell the Dharma as you wish: "You made me a Buddha, and China Bodhisattva heard the Dharma as she wished, and naturally heard it. If not, don't be enlightened. "
(47) I won't give up my desire to become famous: "If I get the Buddha, all the bodhisattvas in other countries will hear my name. If I don't get it, I will never give up and get enlightenment."
(48) Three methods of forbearance wish: "If you make me a Buddha, all the bodhisattvas in other countries will not get one, two or three methods of forbearance when they hear my name. If you don't retreat, you won't get the first, second and third testimonies, and you won't get enlightenment. "
