Yue Fei, who was born in a peasant family, was a famous military strategist in the Southern Song Dynasty and a famous general who fought against the Jin Dynasty. He was extremely intelligent since he was a child and loved poetry and books. He studied martial arts with a master when he was young, and joined the army at the age of 20. His mother once tattooed the four words "Serve the Country with Loyalty" on his back. Yue Fei led his army to fight against the Jin soldiers, winning six battles and six victories, and made many military exploits. However, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty, together with the treacherous Prime Minister Qin Song, wanted to seek peace with Jin. They won 12 gold medals in one day, forced Yue Fei to withdraw his troops, and dismissed him from his post. In the end, 39-year-old Yue Fei was killed in Hangzhou on "unfounded" charges. The people in his hometown have infinite admiration for Yue Fei, and hate Qin Hui and other traitorous officials deeply. The east and west wings are the exhibition hall of Yue Fei's life and deeds. The backyard is the sleeping hall, where Yue Fei's famous calligraphy treasure "Chu Shi Biao" stone carvings are displayed. Behind the dormitory hall there are Yue Yun Temple, Sizi Temple, Yue Ke Temple, Xiao'e Temple, etc.
The temple faces south and has a rectangular outer corridor. The street gate is Jingzhongfang, facing west. It is a beautifully built wooden archway with nine steps and four raised brackets. In the middle of the square is the inscription "Temple of King Zhongwu of Song Dynasty" given by Zhu Youtang, Emperor Xiaozong of the Ming Dynasty. On the eight-character walls on both sides, the two characters "loyalty" and "filial piety" are respectively carved with blue stone tablets. The character is 1.8 meters high, strong and dignified, and particularly eye-catching. Passing Jingzhong Square is the mountain gate, facing south. It is a three-bay building. The fan-shaped walls on both sides are inlaid with reliefs of rolling dragons playing in the water. A pair of stone lions stand on the left and right in front of the door. There is a row of huge plaques under the eaves of the mountain gate, which read "Serve the country with loyalty", "Haoran righteousness" and "Temple food for thousands of years". They are the handwritings of contemporary calligraphers Shu Tong, Chu Tunan and Xiao Lao. Embedded on the bright pillar are couplets written by the contemporary writer Wei Wei: "Keep the majestic righteousness; strengthen the mountains and rivers of your hometown." There is also a couplet on both sides: Kneel down before you with unkempt hair and dirty face, thinking about the prime minister back then; sit down with your crown hanging down, and take a look. Today's General'. Opposite the mountain gate is Shi Quan Temple, with a bronze statue of Shi Quan inside. Under the front stone steps, the iron kneeling statues of the five traitors Qin Hui, Wang Shi, Wan Qixi, Zhang Jun and Wang Jun are suppressing the party.
Entering the temple at the first step, you will see ancient cypresses and numerous steles. There is the Suzhan Pavilion in the east and the Jinguang Pavilion in the west. Two tall walls of steles in front of the Yimen divide this area
Make two small courtyards in the east and west. There is a pavilion in each courtyard, called "Su Zhan" in the east and "Ji Guang" in the west. Among the numerous inscriptions, there are poems by emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties visiting the temple, records of the reconstruction and expansion of ancient temples in famous dynasties, and even more poems and songs by literati from past dynasties praising heroes. Chen Yunhe's poem said: "Serve the country with loyalty, live on Yue Fei's back for a long time, live in great mountains and rivers for a long time." Nearly 200 pieces of poems and songs from past dynasties still exist. Passing through the Royal Stele Pavilion is the main building of the Yue Temple - the main hall. The hall is five rooms wide and 18.30 meters wide. It is three rooms deep and 11.60 meters deep. The brackets are in the shape of five steps and are heavily raised. It is a hard mountain-style building with a height of 10 meters. The posture is steady and the momentum is magnificent. There are five huge plaques hanging on the lintel of the hall, which are "Naiwu Naiwen", "Hometown Zudou", "Loyal Spirits Revealed", "Jingwei Jingwei from Hundred Battles", and "Qiankun Zhengqi". Among them, "The Divine Power of a Hundred Wars" and "The Loyal Spirit is Not Lost" were inscribed by Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty and Empress Dowager Cixi. In the center of the main hall is a colorful seated statue of Yue Fei, which is more than ten feet tall, majestic and upright. A giant gold plaque with the words "Give me back my rivers and mountains" hung above. On both sides of the seated statue are inlaid a couplet inscribed by General Zhang Aiping, "The bloody battle in Zhuxian Town has demoralized the enemy, and the storm pavilion will regret it forever." On the surrounding walls, there are calligraphy, painting and calligraphy works by famous domestic modern calligraphers and painters praising Yue Fei. In the east and west verandas on both sides of the main hall are the exhibition rooms of Yue Fei's historical relics.
The backyard of the main hall is the dormitory hall, Yue Yun Temple, Sizi Temple, Yue Ke Temple, Xiao'e Temple, Three Generations Temple, etc. Hanging above the dormitory hall are plaques inscribed by famous modern calligraphers such as Shang Xiangqian and Shen Peng and couplets by Wei Tradition and others. The famous calligraphy treasure "Chu Shi Biao" stone carvings are displayed inside, with more than 140 square meters of carved stone.
