Today, I want to talk about a basic problem. What is the best age to learn calligraphy? Discuss it with friends here.
Speaking of post-60 s, post-70 s, post-80 s, post-90 s and post-00 s, I believe that people from post-80 s and early 90 s will be on the list. I think the main reason was that the education department and schools didn't pay attention to it at that time-the baton of the education department was too powerful.
Now this group of 80 s and 90 s are parents, and their children are almost in elementary school and junior high school. These parents actually attach great importance to their children's calligraphy learning, but because they don't know calligraphy, it is easy for their children to miss the best opportunity to learn calligraphy.
In my opinion, the late kindergarten class and the early first grade are the best time to start learning hard pen calligraphy, and it will be bad if it is later. Brush calligraphy, according to the level of hard pen calligraphy, is more suitable for grades three to four.
For example, sitting posture and writing posture must be given the highest level of attention. Children's myopia, children's spinal curvature, children's slow writing and poor writing are all related to sitting posture and writing posture. The picture below shows the writing posture of a third-grade child of mine.
Children are currently writing with first-grade children. Up to now, I have corrected every class, but in less than two minutes, I am back to my old ways.
After a period of study, writing has made great progress, but the writing speed is very slow, not as fast as that of first-grade children. I'd better post a sentence he wrote yesterday (watch my video, it really rained yesterday).
For another example, it is also very important to learn calligraphy from kindergarten classes, which can exercise children's writing speed and sharpen their thinking. Many children write slowly, because they can't sit still, and because they write too slowly.
If children are exposed to calligraphy earlier, after they enter the first grade, because their homework is efficient, they will save a lot of time and learn more things, such as reading and going out for activities.
For brush calligraphy, you can start learning from the third and fourth grades, provided that children have a certain grasp of hard pen writing. My explanation of the structure of hard pen characters is basically based on the structure of brush characters, so it is relatively easy for children to accept.
A good word will benefit you for life! I wrote the last one.
