The abbreviation of Shenzhen Stock Exchange is SZSE. The full English name is ShenZhen Stock Exchange, and the Chinese full name is Shenzhen Stock Exchange, referred to as Shenzhen Stock Exchange. It is one of the two major stock exchanges in China. The Shenzhen Stock Exchange has three boards: the main board, the small and medium-sized board, and the GEM.

The Shenzhen Stock Exchange began trial operation on December 1, 1990. It is a national securities trading venue established with the approval of the State Council and is subject to the supervision and management of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. Shenzhen Stock Exchange performs market organization, market supervision and market service responsibilities.

On May 27 of the same year, the small and medium-sized enterprise board was launched. On June 25, the first batch of eight companies were listed on the Small and Medium Enterprise Board.

On February 5, 2021, the China Securities Regulatory Commission announced that it had approved the merger of the main board and the small and medium-sized board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
