What if I am bitten by a snake?

Snakes mostly live in cool and humid places. Generally, they don't take the initiative to attack people, and only bite when they are trampled or collided by pedestrians. When encountering natural disasters (such as floods), snakes will flee to a safe place to meet people, and then they will be bitten by snakes. Snakes can be divided into two categories: poisonous snakes and non-poisonous snakes. The tooth marks left by non-poisonous snakes are very small, arranged in two rows in a figure of eight; However, after being bitten by a poisonous snake, two large and deep tooth marks are common on the skin.

Countermeasures:

Don't panic when bitten by a snake. Check the wound immediately to determine whether the bite is poisonous. No snakebite needs special treatment, just apply some mercurochrome or iodine to the wound. If it must be a poisonous snake bite or it is impossible to judge whether the biting snake is poisonous at that time, it should be treated as a poisonous snake bite: tie it to the upper side of the wound with a rubber tube, belt, cloth and rope. Try to remove the venom from the wound: rinse the wound with hydrogen peroxide or cold boiled water or salt water. Then cut the skin between the teeth marks with a sterilized knife or blade, and squeeze it on both sides of the wound with your fingers to discharge the venom. In case of emergency, you can suck directly through your mouth (be careful not to break it), spit out the sucked liquid immediately after sucking, and rinse your mouth. If you have snake medicine or Chinese lobelia herb, you can apply it to the wound. After emergency treatment, the injured should be sent to a medical unit for further treatment. Note: the rubber tube tied to the upper side of the wound should be relaxed every half hour, every time 1 ~ 2 minutes.

Prevention:

In order to avoid being bitten by snakes, you should try to avoid places where snakes haunt. If you have to walk through these places, you should also avoid the grassy areas. It is best to walk on the bare stone floor. Wear pants and shoes to cover your feet
