New LOGO, new impression, static analysis of Roewe R ER6

In recent years, almost all brands in the world are busy changing their labels. Many major international brands have replaced their 3D logos with 2D, while many Chinese brands that once had slightly uglier logos have simply changed a line of letters. However, Roewe's new "double lion logo" is simple and profound in color matching, which really takes the visual grade to a higher level. Now, the first model with the exclusive R badge for electric vehicles is finally coming to us. The first sedan, ER6, was born out of the former i6. Just like Geely's Geometry brand, its unique simplicity and futuristic feel are exclusive to pure electric vehicles. .

Let’s first talk about the design inspiration of the R logo. It not only pays tribute to traditional elements, but also faces the future. First of all, its shape is like the word "人" in oracle bone inscriptions, highlighting the people-oriented spirit of the brand. The curvature of its upper part pays tribute to its birthplace. The Pudong New Area surrounded by the curving Huangpu River symbolizes the prosperity and openness of contemporary China. Of course, consumers are not willing to listen to so many stories, and they are more particular about whether it looks good or not. And looking at those well-known trademarks, the simpler they are, the more attractive they are.

In terms of styling, ER6 should reflect what electric vehicles should look like in the future. The headlights are connected by a strip of chrome trim and black areas, creating clear upper and lower levels that won’t make people feel abrupt. Electric vehicles require very little air intake, so the lower grille adopts an adaptive opening and closing design. The "eight-shaped" spoiler design on both sides of the front bumper gives the vehicle a strong visual impact.

Length, width and height: 4724/1835/1493mm, wheelbase 2715mm, still positioned as a standard compact car. The straight and slender waistline and the rising ridge at the bottom create a rich light and shadow effect.

Compared with the Roewe i6, the rear end has richer layers, thicker chrome strips running through it, and blackened taillight design. The overall texture has been significantly improved.

The headlights use LED vector matrix light groups, which are composed of two reuse modules. Metal decorative strips are interspersed within the lamp units, creating a semi-split effect.

The shape of the light strip of the taillight echoes the LED of the headlight. The brake light above it adopts a matrix form and is similar to Audi's new A4L when lit.

The wheel hub adopts a double five-spoke design, the matrix decoration of the spokes also adds to the sense of sophistication, and the profile has been aerodynamically optimized. The tires are of the Michelin brand and the size is 215/50?R17.

The new interior design, especially the light color, makes the vehicle feel more spacious. The large central screen and the gear lever operating area below form a folding plane, making the whole vehicle full of science fiction color. The light blue area of ??the central control panel is made of leather material, which emits a pearlescent effect and feels quite delicate.

The multi-function steering wheel adopts light color and silver decoration, which also looks clean and translucent. And it uses perforated leather, which feels great and is also very breathable. If it is my daily driving, I am afraid that I will never be able to do without a wet wipe in my hand for cleaning at any time.

The instrument uses a 12.3-inch pure LCD. The instrument backlight is inspired by the Nautilus. The combination of digital technology and natural aesthetics is also quite classy.

The central control screen uses a 14.3-inch 2.5D curved large screen, with a built-in new Internet car intelligence 3.0 system, based on the AliOS Zebra smart travel solution. And the windows, door locks, and sunroof sunshades can be controlled through the central control screen. However, since the car system of the actual model has not yet been activated, more functions will be displayed in future test drives.

ER6's sunroof design is unique. The entire roof behind the B-pillar and the tail window are completely made of a large curved glass. Therefore, there is a small canopy sunroof in the front row, and when you look up at the sky in the back row, you will find that the world becomes more open.

The blue and white seats look very fresh, and the seats are soft and comfortable without too much prominent wrapping. The main driver uses electric adjustment and manual adjustment of lumbar support, while the passenger driver has full manual adjustment.

The rear seats have a central armrest, which is also very soft and comfortable, but it can only be tilted down as a whole, and the middle seat is not designed with a headrest.

In terms of driving, an experiencer with a height of 182cm will have a fistful of head space in the front row.

As for the performance of the rear row, the head has just hit the panoramic glass, but the legs still have room for two punches. The floor in the middle of the rear row is flat, which is an obvious advantage in a compact car.

And there are air-conditioning outlets and two USB ports in the middle of the rear row, making it more convenient to charge mobile phones in the car.

In terms of storage space, the volume under the suspended center console is very considerable. Coupled with the relatively conventional storage space, the convenience of loading is also obvious.

The luggage compartment space has not been announced, but there is a spare tire in the trunk. It is expected that the data can be synchronized with the 467L of the fuel version of the i6 model.

In terms of power, ER6 will be equipped with a motor from Huayu Automotive Electric Systems Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 184 horsepower and a maximum torque of 258N·m. The ternary lithium battery equipped with NCM523 cells has an energy density of 180Wh/kg, an average energy consumption of 12.2kWh/100km, and a NEDC cruising range of 620km.

Summary: SAIC Roewe’s R logo will be exclusive to electric vehicles, launching Roewe’s “intelligence-gathering” design concept, and will construct a new service model that is “rechargeable, replaceable, and upgradeable” new battery architecture. Its simple, fresh and futuristic design, as well as its battery life exceeding the 600km mark, can be regarded as driving the upward development of Chinese brand new energy vehicles. Therefore, the future performance of this model is also worth looking forward to.
