Guangzhou Zoo has more than 45 species of mammals, reptiles, birds and fish, many of which are rare birds and animals in the world. There are 35 species of national first-class protected animals and 32 species of national second-class protected animals. The animal dormitories include the Orangutan Hall, Kangaroo Hall, Insect Hall, Bird Exhibition Area, Ocean Hall, Jinlin Garden, Butterfly Hall, Animal Behavior Exhibition Hall, and Dinosaur World.
Guangzhou Zoo is located in the east section of Xianlie Middle Road. It was built in 1958. It is one of the three largest zoos in the country along with Beijing Zoo and Shanghai Zoo. The zoo is suitable for family visits. You can bring your children to learn about small animals, and you can also visit the aquarium and play in the amusement park.
