First of all, you must choose regular Hanfu, made by regular stores, with correct shape, good pattern, and non-violent fabrics
Secondly: before advancing to the advanced stage, try to wear clothes from all dynasties and generations as much as possible Avoid mixing and matching!
Then, the size fits you. Nowadays, most Hanfu are tailor-made. I would rather go to the trouble of getting them altered than to dress nondescriptly and feel like I am wearing a robe.
Finally, don’t be disheveled when wearing Hanfu. Add a middle coat to the dress. If the top is exposed, straighten the top. Tighten the chest-high straps tightly otherwise they will fall off easily. Iron the clothes if they are wrinkled before wearing them. Dress neatly and don't expose a large part of your chest, just in case. If the clothes are short, they must be worn with a midi skirt and trousers underneath and do not expose the calves, ankles or jeans.
Choose clothes that suit you. If you are petite, you may want to wear less chest-length clothing. If you are big and plump, you may want to wear less Song style clothes. If you have a weak aura, you should pay attention to the choice of Ming style clothes.
Choose clothes suitable for the occasion. Wearing dark clothes as a backpacker is always a bit unconventional. For solemn occasions, wearing brown half-arms is too casual.
