Paul Allen, born in195365438+1October 2 1, is an American entrepreneur and the predecessor of Microsoft founded by Bill Gates. He is currently the founder and chairman of Vulcan Company.
Paul allen was born in Seattle, Washington. He is the son of Kenneth S. Allen and Faye G. Allen, deputy librarians of the Washington University Library. Allen studied at Lakeside School, a famous private school in Seattle, where he met Bill Gates, who is two grades younger than him but also obsessed with computers. Together, they monopolized the only microcomputer in Hushan Middle School. In order to gain more computing power, Allen and Gates sneaked into the computer lab of Washington University.
