Cancer prevention should start with teenagers.

When it comes to malignant tumor, people often think that it is the disease of the elderly and has nothing to do with teenagers, but it is not. The causes of many diseases can be found in teenagers, and cancer is no exception.
According to statistics, more than 6 million people worldwide die of cancer every year, with China accounting for more than 6,543.8+3,000. Relevant statistics show that the incidence of malignant tumors is on the rise, and what deserves our vigilance is that the tendency of "rejuvenation" of patients with malignant tumors is becoming more and more obvious. There are more and more young patients with malignant tumors from "rare" in the past to now. For example, the age of patients with small cell lung cancer and breast cancer has shown a trend of younger development in recent years. According to a statistic in Tianjin, the first peak age of female breast cancer is 1973- 1975, 45-49 years old. During the period from 198 1 to 1983, the patient's age was advanced to 35-39 years. This phenomenon of rapidly "depressing" age is not difficult to see patients in their twenties or even 10 years old in clinic.
One of the important reasons why we emphasize that the prevention of malignant tumors should start with teenagers is that malignant tumor diseases themselves are easy to occur among teenagers. The three main causes of death of children under 5 years old are accidents, bacterial infections and tumors. Tumors that are common in teenagers include nephroblastoma, neuroblastoma, leukemia, lymphoma, soft tissue sarcoma, osteosarcoma and so on. Even seminoma and liver cancer.
Generally speaking, the onset of malignant tumor is a long-term and slow process, which is the result of long-term and continuous stimulation of carcinogens. Some of them need years or even decades to accumulate into diseases, and once the diseases are formed, it is quite difficult to cure them. Therefore, cancer prevention should start with teenagers.
Scientific research has confirmed that many diseases in modern society, such as cancer, are often related to bad living habits, unhealthy mental state and bad living environment. For example, smoking is closely related to lung cancer, throat cancer, oral cancer, digestive tract tumor and bladder cancer, while the number of young smokers in China is increasing every year. Statistics show that countries with a large number of smokers have a high incidence of lung cancer; People who smoke early get lung cancer many years earlier than in the past; People who smoke and drink will also have a higher proportion of cancer. Therefore, advocating non-smoking and non-drinking among teenagers is conducive to cancer prevention.
Good eating habits and a reasonable diet structure are also very important for cancer prevention. Foods high in fat and lacking in cellulose are the pathogenic factors of colorectal cancer, breast cancer and other tumors. Some "fat people" who have been overweight for many years may be victims of coronary heart disease, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and some tumors. Therefore, starting from teenagers, we should pay attention to the reasonable collocation of nutrition in the diet, and we should not be picky eaters. Eating more green vegetables, coarse grains and beans is beneficial and necessary for weight control. Eat less fried food and smoked food, and don't eat moldy, rotten and stale food.
Maintaining a good mental state is an important means to prevent cancer. The incidence of some tumor patients is often related to mental stimulation, long-term depression and anxiety. Scientists have proved through experiments on animals that bad mental stimulation will seriously interfere with their immune function, endocrine function and normal metabolism, resulting in an environment for tumor breeding.
Clinically, it is proved that the effect of bad mental stimulation is slow and lasting, and the adverse effects on human body cannot be underestimated. Therefore, cultivating a good mood and mentality, establishing a correct outlook on life and values, and maintaining an optimistic mental state must start from adolescence. /Xinhua News Agency
