Can diapers cause leg deformation?

We often say that children's legs are either O-legs or X-legs, which refers to the abnormal development of the knee joint. There are certain genetic factors, which may also be related to development (such as vitamin D deficiency rickets) and premature "artificial training" of children to stand and walk. When children reach a certain age, they will help themselves to stand up and walk. Parents should not force him to stand too early, the child's lower limbs may bear the weight too early, resulting in leg deformation.

Diapers will not cause leg deformation.

Diapers do not cause deformation of bowlegs or legs.

O leg

"O" leg means that when the human body stands upright, the knee joint protrudes outward, while the calf deviates outward, and the two lower limbs form an "O" leg. This deformity occurs in the tibia and sometimes in the femur. Patients with "O" legs are not only deformed in appearance, but also swing from side to side when walking, with unstable gait and feet touching each other, showing an "inner figure of eight".

X-leg

The "X" leg is a deformity opposite to the "O" leg, which means that the knee joint protrudes inward, the calf deviates outward and rotates outward. When the human body stands upright, the femur and tibia form an excessive outward opening angle, and the medial condyles of the two tibia can contact each other, but the ankles cannot contact and separate from each other. The size of separation is a sign of the severity of deformity.
