The layout of the mourning hall is based on the principle of solemnity, and the "flower card" is tied to the wall directly behind. There are two kinds of flowers: full flower and half flower, with dark green background and yellow pattern.
There is a gv 10 in front of the flower card, and there is a portrait of 24 o'clock in the center of the back of the gv 10, surrounded by yellow flowers (with black borders). Flowers (mainly Huang Juhua and white chrysanthemums), fruits and vegetables are usually placed on the platform, with a spirit tablet in the middle, a pair of big incense sticks on both sides, and incense burners. If there are flower baskets, it is best to arrange them on both sides of the platform in a figure of eight.
Filial couplets (such as the husband, wife and children of the deceased) are hung on the flower cards directly behind the portrait, and elegiac couplets sent by other people from all walks of life can be hung on the walls on both sides of the mourning hall. There are wreaths and baskets on both sides of the entrance.
In the mourning hall, there are long tables, cigarettes and tea, and several seats for mourners to rest. There are long tables on the left and right sides of the small room outside the mourning hall or on the open space outside the mourning hall. One side is the place to receive gifts, and the other side is the place to sign.
As for the color of the big candles on the funeral table, pure white is generally used. If the bereaved families are old, over 70 or 80 years old, and their children and grandchildren are full, they think that they are all blessed with a long life and hope to light a big red candle. Of course, this practice is unrestricted, but the air in the mourning hall is sad and serious, and the families of the deceased are still crying to express their grief, but lighting red candles is not harmonious and seems to be avoided.
Extended data:
The mourning hall is a hall set up by people to mourn the dead. There is a coffin in the middle of the mourning hall, with memorial tablets, incense tables, candles, three sacrifices and offerings in front, flowers and flower baskets on both sides, banners hanging behind to mourn the dead, and bands and undertaker playing funeral music on the front.
In ancient times, people believed that the soul was immortal. They think that death is just that the soul has got rid of the bondage of the body and must have a place to stay. Then the mourning hall appeared. After a person dies, it is also a place for relatives and friends to mourn the deceased by building a mourning shed at the entrance of the funeral home or setting up a mourning hall in the hall to let the soul of the deceased rest in peace.
