Can I get a certificate on holidays?
Whether you can get a certificate on holidays depends mainly on whether the Civil Affairs Bureau went to work that day. At present, civil affairs bureaus in cities all over the country generally go to work according to national statutory holidays, so under normal circumstances, such as May Day, Dragon Boat Festival, National Day, Saturday and Sunday, civil affairs bureaus do not go to work.
However, in some cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and other cities, the civil affairs bureaus in some jurisdictions may open their doors on Saturday morning. Therefore, if you want to register on Saturday, it is recommended to call the local civil affairs bureau in advance during working hours to inquire whether it is open on Saturday.
In addition, when encountering special dates, such as 520, the Civil Affairs Bureau sometimes takes charge, and it may go to work on Saturday and Sunday morning, or it may delay getting off work. It is recommended to call in advance for details.
Certificates and procedures required to obtain a license
1, license selection date
If you care about good or bad luck, pick an auspicious day to get the certificate. Look at the almanac and you will know whether the day is suitable for obtaining the certificate. If you value this very much, you may need to calculate the hexagrams according to the zodiac signs and birth dates of both parties before choosing a date. This may require a fortune teller to choose.
If you want to pursue a sense of ceremony and like romance, then you should choose important or meaningful days to get the certificate, such as Valentine's Day on February 14, 520, 52 1, Tanabata in China, the birthday of the other party, and the anniversary of their acquaintance. This is a day that many people will choose.
If you don't pay much attention to these things, and you are afraid of spending time in line, then choose an ordinary day, the day when the Civil Affairs Bureau goes to work, to get the certificate.
2. Select the license registration agency.
The marriage registration office must choose the license registration office where either party's account is located.
Step 3 Prepare the required materials
1) original and photocopy of household registration book and ID cards of both parties. Generally, the household registration book should be copied from the home page and personal page, and the front and back of the ID card should be copied on a piece of paper. However, many civil affairs bureaus have photocopiers. You can go to the Civil Affairs Bureau for further copying. It should be noted that the household registration should be consistent with the name, date of birth and ID number on the ID card. If they are inconsistent, they shall go to the household registration authority to correct or reissue their identity cards.
2) Both parties to the marriage have no signed statement of direct blood relatives and collateral blood relatives within three generations. This does not need to be issued by others or other institutions, just sign it yourself.
3) Three recent bareheaded half-length photos with a 2-inch red background. In addition, most civil affairs bureaus can take such photos. If you don't care much about wedding photos, you can go directly to the Civil Affairs Bureau to take photos, but you can choose wedding photos that satisfy you.
4) If one party remarries, it should also bring a divorce certificate or a divorce judgment issued by the court.
5) One party is Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and needs to carry valid certificates such as mainland pass and home visit permit; If one party is a foreigner, he should bring his passport and other international valid documents.
Step 4 make an appointment
If you can make an appointment, you'd better make an appointment in advance. Generally, there are two ways to make an appointment by telephone and online.
5. Go to the Civil Affairs Bureau to register and get the license.
Apply to fill out the form? Hand in forms and certificates? Physical examination (free)? Taking pictures? Swear? It takes about 1 hour (including physical examination) to get a marriage certificate, excluding the queuing time, and the whole marriage examination (physical examination) takes about 40 minutes.
A premarital check-up is not necessary, but premarital check-ups (physical examinations) are responsible for each other, so I suggest that everyone try to have a premarital check-up.
