Direction has two meanings:
First, it represents the outdoor orientation.
In other words, before the house is built, the Feng Shui master will decide the orientation of the house for the owner according to the Feng Shui knowledge he has learned in his life. In other words, it will choose a good orientation for the owner of the house.
The second is to represent the indoor orientation.
Houses in rural areas in China generally choose single-family, double-family or multi-family. Relatively speaking, the direction is actually obvious, because the main houses have gates and take the gate as the direction. The orientation of a house like this is the first. If you want to judge the orientation of the house, you should put the compass at the gate and correct the position of the compass (the position of the compass can only represent the metaphysical point of view), so that you will naturally know the orientation of the house.
The so-called indoor orientation is actually that some houses that are difficult to distinguish the orientation must be re-oriented. For example, unit residential buildings in cities, or even point residential buildings, are more difficult to orient. The above-mentioned general houses are oriented towards the gate, but in urban houses, the door opened by the stairwell is not the main entrance at all, but an entrance and exit. So it must be repositioned. This orientation is actually to find a direction indoors, which can represent the orientation of the house.
First, take Yang as the direction.
As we all know, in ancient China, most houses were detached houses. Due to the needs of the environment, most houses always face south, with wide doors and small windows. One reason for building this kind of house is that China is located in the northern hemisphere and the sun is more in the south. In order to prevent the wind, sand, frost and snow from blowing in the north, the windows are relatively small, and the doors are used for lighting and mixing more air, so the doors naturally become the symbol of geomantic omen and the air intake point. With the progress of the times and the difference of social structure, the living conditions and the format of building houses have been very different from the past. But there is a common feature. People can't live without sunshine and air. Humans rely on sunshine and air to maintain their lives. In modern buildings or apartment buildings, the lighting of doors will lose its function, so windows and balconies will shoulder another main task of doors in the past: lighting and lighting. In this way, windows and balconies represent an important basis for orientation. In fact, light is a symbol of yang. Therefore, the first indoor orientation is positive.
Second, it has a dynamic and static orientation.
The movers are yang, and the static ones are yin. Water is dynamic, so water is yang; The mountain is still, so it is cloudy. Move in the direction and sit still. For example, there is a avenue near the building. People who live in this tall building can see cars and people on the avenue whenever they open the window. In fact, this avenue is dynamic for this building. Therefore, the geomantic orientation of this building can also be mainly dynamic and static. Using the method of dynamic and static orientation, the sitting direction of this building must choose the side facing the avenue as the orientation. However, in the direction of dynamic and static positioning, we must pay attention to two problems.
(1), the roads in big cities are criss-crossing, and a building faces not one avenue, or even many avenues, which makes the whole building in a dynamic state. If it is static and dynamic, it is really difficult to orient. Therefore, I suggest that in this environment, we should take the sun as the direction.
(2) For example, in some high-rise buildings with square buildings, the orientation of each unit room is almost inconsistent, so the units on the same floor have several orientations respectively. Although the orientation of the building can be taken dynamically, the orientation of some apartments in this building can't be consistent with the building at all. For example, a building is east-west, and there is a road in front of the building. The orientation of the building can be determined according to the movement and the west. But what I want to point out here is that some windows of this square building face north or south, and the orientation of units in other directions is completely inconsistent with the building. Therefore, the units of this kind of building should be reoriented, with sunlight as the direction, and choose windows that light and blend into the air.
Third, it is local-oriented.
The so-called local shape actually refers to the relationship between the house and the geographical location. For example, some houses or buildings can't be built because of terrain restrictions, so they can only be built or erected by terrain. This local orientation can be seen in rural areas, such as some places near mountains. Many houses are backed by mountains. Feng shui experts call this kind of sitting on the ground, facing the air. Or on the hillside facing the sea. In fact, this kind of house with local orientation does not only appear in rural areas, but also exists in many big cities that are short of money. For example, backed by a mountain or building higher than your own building, it is lower and more empty than your own building. At the same time, sunlight and air come in from this vast space, which can naturally become the direction of the house.
When we have roughly determined the orientation of a house, we will place it on the orientation of the house with a compass, and further determine whether the geomantic omen of the house is consistent with the owner according to the principle of judging the sitting orientation with a compass.
