Zhou Shuren's original name was Zhou Zhangshou.
Mr. Lu Xun was born in 1881, and his grandfather named him "Zhou Zhangshou", whose name was Yushan, and his baby names were A Zhang, Chang Gen and Chang Geng. As can be seen from the name, Master Zhou should hope that his grandson can be healthy and live a long life. In 1898, after entering Jiangnan Naval Academy, Mr. Lu Xun changed his name to Zhou Shuren and changed his word to "Yu Cai".
"Lu Xun" is a pseudonym. It was first used when Diary of a Madman was published. Mr. Lu Xun's life works are numerous, and there have been many pen names, such as Zishu, Gengchen, Suozi, Suoshi, Shuren, Lingfei, Xunxing, etc. Some people have counted more than 18 pen names of Mr. Lu Xun!
the characteristics of Lu Xun's prose
Lu Xun's essays are few, but they can be described as excellent articles, which are included in Flowers at Morning and Weeds. "Flowers in the Morning" is a review of Lu Xun's childhood and adolescence, and a fragmentary memory of the author's life in adolescence, including his childhood impression of Shaoxing, studying in Nanjing, studying in Japan, teaching in Shaoxing after returning to China and other basic growth experiences, especially those who describe his hometown life.
Compared with his essays, these essays are more clear, pure and kind. "Flowers in the Morning" focuses on the depiction of human feelings of the world, not only on the vivid natural situation (such as "From Herb Garden to three pools mirroring the moon") and the vivid recollection of the actions of young people, but also on depicting living characters with generous affection, such as Mr. Fujino, Mr. Fan Ainong and Mr. Shou Jingwu of "three pools mirroring the moon".
The author did not write them stiffly from the perspective of moralists, but used emotion to drive memories. The most representative figure is the eldest mother. In the works such as A Chang and Shan Hai Jing, Lu Xun tries to tell it objectively, and does not praise or criticize it at will, so that readers are deeply moved by the kindness, simplicity, enthusiasm and beauty of their eldest mother in simple words and stories.
In contrast, in Flowers in the Morning, the dissatisfaction with the boring, absurd and foolish world in the old life is not prominent. The beauty and love of the past can be regarded as both a spiritual refuge for Lu Xun when he was depressed and a resting place for his tired body and mind.
