This is Xitou Village, located in the northeast of Liangkou Town, Conghua, a suburb of Guangzhou. It is one of the three major sources of Liuxi River.
This is my third time to Xitou Village. Two of them were specifically to visit Xitou Village and I stayed here for one night. The third time was to hike to Xitou Village and then take a car. Every time I go back, I take a different route and have a different experience. But I always have a lot of fun and relieve stress every time. This may be the charm of nature.
When we came here for the first time, we specially took a bus to the entrance of Xitou Village. The focus was to feel the simple folk customs here and to get close to nature.
At the entrance of the village, we were attracted by a farm. There are many B&Bs and farms here, all decorated in a literary and artistic style, which is a style preferred by young people. At the farm, you can taste the special dishes of bamboo tube rice and fresh bamboo shoots (depending on the season). The prices of the dishes are not bad, similar to those in the city, but they are more original.
Walking in from the entrance of the village is the market of Xitou Village. The market will be very lively in the morning and evening.
There are various agricultural products at the market: green plums, dried bamboo shoots, dried sweet potatoes, etc. There will also be some handicrafts made of bamboo tubes, as well as the special delicacies here: bamboo tube rice, freshly ground sesame paste and landscape tofu. flower. Every time I come here, I bring some specialties home. I feel like this is the only way to prove that I have been here.
When we were staying, we met the very kind hosts of the B&B, an elderly couple. They patiently explained to us the nearby attractions and travel routes, and also helped us prepare breakfast and arrange it for us. Room with the best view.

Go out to the exit of Xitou Village and walk along another road to reach a waterfall: Qianlonggou Waterfall. This waterfall requires a ticket, but we did not go in.
