1, sand storage method.
First lay a layer of sorghum stalks or straw on the cool indoor floor, and then lay sand about 6 cm thick. The humidity of the sand should be rubbed by hand, and it will disperse when it is put down. One layer of sand and one layer of chestnut, each layer is 4 cm ~ 6 cm, with a total thickness of 50 cm ~ 60 cm, covered with 6 cm ~ 7 cm of sand and then covered with straw. Check turning every 15 ~ 20 days. If possible, sawdust and chaff can be used instead of sand.
2. Spiny (shell) storage method.
Picking in sunny days, drying chestnuts in the sun, selecting chestnuts with big balls, thick colors, fullness and completeness and no pests and diseases, and storing them in a cool and ventilated place.
First, spread a layer of river sand with a thickness of 10 cm on the dry ground, then pile chestnut balls with a suitable thickness of 1 m, then cover them with a layer of straw, and turn them once a month to keep the humidity uniform.
3. Cold storage method.
This method is suitable for places with high temperature in the south, that is, chestnuts are packed in sacks or bamboo baskets filled with waterproof paper and placed in cold storage. The temperature is controlled at 1℃ ~ 3℃, and the relative humidity is kept at 9 1% ~ 95%. It is best to spray water on the outside of the sack every 4 ~ 5 days to maintain proper humidity.
4, quick-frozen preservation.
It is an advanced method to introduce a quick freezing machine to quickly freeze chestnuts after peeling them.
