On the People's Democratic Dictatorship - Commemorating the 28th Anniversary of the Communist Party of China
(1) The vanguard of the Chinese proletariat learned Marxism and Lenin after the October Revolution doctrine and established the Communist Party of China. Then we entered the political struggle, and after twenty-eight years of twists and turns, we achieved basic victory. Twenty-eight years of experience, just like Sun Yat-sen said in his last will and testament, "Forty years of experience," have led to the same conclusion, which is: fully aware that in order to achieve victory, "we must arouse the people and unite." All nations in the world that treat me as equals will fight together." Sun Yat-sen and we have different worldviews and observe and deal with problems from different class standpoints. However, in the 1920s, he reached such a basic level with us on how to fight imperialism. consistent conclusion. Twenty-four years have passed since Sun Yat-sen's death. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the theory and practice of the Chinese revolution have made great progress, fundamentally changing the face of China. So far, the main and basic experiences that the Chinese people have gained are these two things: (1) Arouse the people at home. This is to unite the working class, peasant class, urban petty bourgeoisie and national bourgeoisie, form a domestic united front under the leadership of the working class, and develop from this to the establishment of a people's democracy led by the working class and based on the alliance of workers and peasants. A country with a dictatorship;
(2) Abroad, unite the nations and people of all countries in the world who treat me as equals to fight together. This means uniting with the Soviet Union, all people's democracies, and the proletariat and the broad masses of the people of other countries to form an international united front.
(2) What are the people?
In China, at the present stage, it is the working class, the peasant class, the urban petty bourgeoisie and the national bourgeoisie. Under the leadership of the working class and the Communist Party, these classes unite to form their own country, elect their own government, and fight against the lackeys of imperialism, namely the landlord class and the bureaucratic bourgeoisie, as well as the Kuomintang reactionaries and their representatives who represent these classes. The accomplices exercised a dictatorship and oppressed these people, only allowing them to behave themselves and not allowing them to speak or act randomly. If you want to talk nonsense and cause chaos, it will be banned immediately and sanctions will be imposed. For the people, a democratic system is implemented, and the people have the right to freedom of speech, assembly, and association. The right to vote is only given to the people, not to the reactionaries. These two aspects, the aspect of democracy within the people and the aspect of dictatorship over the reactionaries, are combined with each other to form the people's democratic dictatorship. Why do you want to do this?
Everyone knows it very well. Otherwise, the revolution will fail, the people will suffer, and the country will perish. "Don't you want to eliminate state power?
" We want it, but we don't want it yet. We can't want it yet. Why?
Imperialism still exists, domestic reactionaries still exist, and domestic classes still exist. Our current task is to strengthen the people's state machinery, which mainly refers to the people's army, the people's police and the people's courts, so as to consolidate national defense and protect the people's interests. With this as a condition, it will be possible for China, under the leadership of the working class and the Communist Party, to steadily advance from an agricultural country to an industrial country, from a new democratic society to a socialist society and a communist society, and to eliminate Class and the realization of unity. State apparatuses such as the army, police, and courts are tools for class oppression. For hostile classes, it is a tool of oppression, it is violence, not something "benevolent". "You are unkind
."
Exactly. We will never apply benevolent policies to the reactionary behavior of the reactionaries and reactionary classes. We only implement benevolent governance within the people, but not against the reactionary behavior of the reactionaries and reactionary classes outside the people. A people's state protects the people. With a people's state, it is possible for the people to use democratic methods to educate and transform themselves nationwide and on an overall scale, so as to separate themselves from the influence of internal and external reactionaries (this influence is still very great now and will be in the long run). period and cannot be eliminated quickly), reform the bad habits and bad ideas acquired from the old society, prevent yourself from going on the wrong path guided by the reactionaries, and continue to move forward towards a socialist society and *** Communist society advances.
(3) Sun Yat-sen advocated "awakening the people" or "supporting farmers and workers." Who is going to "awaken" and "support"?
Sun Yat-sen means the petty bourgeoisie and the national bourgeoisie.
But this is not possible in fact. Sun Yat-sen's forty-year revolution failed. What was the reason?
In the era of imperialism, it is impossible for the petty bourgeoisie and the national bourgeoisie to lead any real revolution to victory. This is the reason why. Our twenty-eight years were very different. We have many valuable experiences. A party that is disciplined, armed with the theory of Marxism-Leninism, adopts a method of self-criticism, and is in touch with the people. An army led by such a party. A united front of all revolutionary classes and revolutionary factions led by such a party. These three are our main weapons to defeat our enemies. These are what distinguish us from our predecessors. Relying on these three things, we achieved basic victory. We have traveled a winding road. We fought against opportunist tendencies within the Party, both on the right and on the "left." Whenever serious mistakes are made in these three matters, the revolution will suffer setbacks. Mistakes and setbacks teach us lessons and make us smarter, so we can do things better. Mistakes are inevitable for any political party or individual, and we ask for fewer mistakes. If you make a mistake, you need to correct it. The faster and more thorough the correction, the better. To sum up our experience, we can focus on one point: the people's democratic dictatorship led by the working class (through the Communist Party) and based on the alliance of workers and peasants. This dictatorship must unite with the international revolutionary forces. This is our formula, this is our main experience, this is our main program. The party's twenty-eight years is a long period. We have only done one thing, which is to achieve basic victory in the revolutionary war. This is worth celebrating because it is a victory for the people and because it is a victory for a big country like China. But we still have many things to do, such as walking. The work we did in the past is just like the first step in a long march of thousands of miles. The remaining enemies are yet to be wiped out. Serious economic construction tasks lie before us. Some of the things we are familiar with are about to become idle, and things we are unfamiliar with are forcing us to do them. That's the difficulty. The imperialists calculated that we would not be able to run the economy well, and they stood aside and watched, waiting for our failure. We have to overcome difficulties and we have to learn what we don’t understand. We must learn economic work from all experts (no matter who they are). Worship them as teachers, learn respectfully and honestly. If you don’t understand, you don’t understand. Don’t pretend to understand. Don't put on bureaucratic airs. If you get in, you can learn it after a few months, a year or two, three or five years.
