Plain is Truth —— The Innocent Age of Princess Gulen (I)
Some people, who were born in an ordinary family, have experienced glory; Some people, born noble, become dull in the end. Some people, plain has become their temperament, no matter what, their hearts are always calm. Is this a mediocre performance? No. This is the deepest happiness that can be grasped in this diverse world.
Among the 53 princesses in the Qing Dynasty (those with the title of "Princess Heshuo" or above), there are people who are not the emperor's own daughters, but also have noble blood and origins, or princesses close to the palace, or daughters of the county kings.
They are honored as "princesses" because they are adopted daughters of the son of heaven. Is this their luck? I'm afraid it's hard to say, because behind the reputation of Jin Yu, there are often melancholy pains and sad tears that we can't see-they all paid a heavy price for it. ......
Today we are going to tell the story of such a royal daughter, who is the only adopted daughter of Emperor Kangxi-Princess Julun Xichun.
Plain is true —— Princess Gulen's Silver Jubilee (Ⅱ)
Adopted daughter (1671-1741): Born in the 10th year of Kangxi (1671)19/kloc-0. In the childhood rearing palace. In the 29th year of Kangxi (1690), she was named Princess Heshuo and married Bundhit in March. In the thirty-first year of Kangxi (1692), the Guards with a long history were established, relying on the Baylor system. In February of the first year of Yongzheng (1723), Princess Julun was named Xichun. After Ben's death, the princess was handsome in Beijing.
Appendix: Bandi, Borzijit. Wang Qi of Horqin County, Mongolia, following his grandson, is a first-class Tai Chi. Under the leadership of ministers, commanders and right-wing strikers. Yongzheng four years (1726) died on June 9th. In the eighteenth year of Qianlong (1753), he paid tribute in February.
Plain is true —— Princess Gulen's Silver Jubilee (3)
Why did the Qing emperor accept the daughter of the sovereign as his adopted daughter? To be honest, this is rarely because of emotional factors. If carefully analyzed, it can be roughly divided into the following two types: one is that the emperor has few daughters (such as Shunzhi and Yongzheng), and the other is that he loves the father of his adopted daughter (such as Qianlong and Xianfeng).
In fact, no matter which one, the ending is the same. In the Qing dynasty, the princess herself was an expensive weight in political transactions in the hands of the imperial court, especially adopted daughters. The emperor seems to have little interest in adopted daughters. Almost from the day they entered the palace, these adopted daughters were destined to devote themselves to politics. They eventually married Mongolia or San Francisco without exception (except Princess Rongshou in the late Qing Dynasty) and became the most unnecessary political tool in the hands of adoptive parents.
This may also be the reason why the emperor only adopted women and not children. Because there is no shortage of people sitting in the magnificent dragon chair in the Hall of Supreme Harmony, what is lacking is only gems and gold that can make the chair look more magnificent. Therefore, every emperor keeps in mind the concept that adopted sons can be disturbed and adopted daughters can be used. That's why the Qing dynasty had these princesses who were not the emperor's own.
Plain is Truth —— The Innocent Age of Princess Gulen (Ⅳ)
Before meeting Princess Xichun, let's meet her father, Prince Gong Changning.
There are two princes in history of qing dynasty who were named Prince Gong. One is Yi Xin, whom we are familiar with, and the other is Chang Ning, the biological father of Princess Xichun.
Changning is the fifth son of Shizu Shunzhi. Shunzhi had eight sons in his life and four sons grew up. They are the Holy Father, Prince Fuquan of Yuxian, Prince Chang Ning of Gong, and Prince Dragon of Chunjing. Among these four people, the Prince Dragon of Chunjing died at the age of nineteen. Therefore, among the brothers and sisters of Emperor Kangxi, only Fuquan and Changning are left.
For this brotherhood, Emperor Kangxi seems to have some differences in his heart. In fact, we can easily see this from posthumous title. Of the three princes, only Changning died instead of posthumous title. Is it the negligence of Kangxi? I'm afraid not, because both Changning and Fuquan died in the forty-second year of Kangxi, but Changning came a month earlier than Fuquan. After learning of his brother's death, Kangxi was patrolling the Great Wall. He sent the prince back to Beijing to organize the funeral, and later Fuquan died, which was another matter. The following is a passage from the Draft of Qing History:
All the blessings are gone, and the same day will be gone. When I was in mourning, I took off my tassel and cried until I drank a libation. On that day, the queen mother ascended the throne first and advised her to return to the palace. She entered Ren Jing Palace from Cangzhen Gate and didn't care about political affairs. The more I walked, the more I lost. I gave two horses and six horses, ten camels and python satin silver. I'll give it to you the next day. The funeral is held, and the queen mother mourns, but it is already. Life is just like Zheng Qinwang's example, there are sacrifices besides routine sacrifices. Luo Zhan, an imperial envoy, supervised the construction of tombs and monuments.
In addition, according to the offensive rules of the Qing Dynasty. The son of the prince should attack the county king, but the descendants of Fuquan inherited the throne, while the descendants of Changning only attacked Baylor (this kind of attack is tantamount to treating Changning as the county king, as if reminding us of Queen Nala who was buried in the funeral instrument of the imperial concubine during the Qianlong period).
At this point, we seem to see Kangxi's different feelings for these two brothers. Kangxi and Changning only saw what kind of contradiction, so that Emperor Kangxi, who had always been steady, didn't give his brother posthumous title. History has not left us the answer to this question, but what is certain is that this matter will have a great impact on Princess Xichun.
Plain is true —— Princess Gulen's Silver Jubilee (V)
In October of the tenth year of Kangxi, on a very auspicious day, Princess Xichun was born in Gongwangfu, Beijing. Her father is the younger brother of today's emperor, and her mother is just a side Fujin in the palace. But this is nothing, after all, he is the father's first child, the first continuation of the blood.
When Princess Xichun was brought into the palace to raise an adult, no definite historical evidence was found. However, according to Piao Piao, this time should be around March and April in the twelfth year of Kangxi.
As we all know, Kangxi was an emperor with children and grandchildren. But in fact, in his early years, the relationship between children and children was extremely shallow. So that the first six sons and two daughters died young. This situation is an extremely painful experience for the royal family, although the emperor is still young.
In February of the twelfth year of Kangxi, the last daughter of Emperor Kangxi passed away. The death of children makes this spring look so bleak and gloomy. At this time, Emperor Kangxi's mood was even more depressed than this late spring. Perhaps, this palace really needs to add some new breath.
In this way, a month later, after a complicated process of calculating the eight characters and understanding the tracts, Xiaogege, who was only two years old in Gongwangfu, was brought to the palace by a favor.
At the moment when his frightened daughter was taken away by a mighty imperial envoy, Prince Gong, who was less than twenty years old, knelt on the ground, holding an imperial edict and a reward in his hand. I am on my way. That's his eldest daughter! Since then, children have nothing to do with themselves. Red walls are separated by more than a distance, and blood is thicker than water.
Of course, in addition to Changning, there is also the person who is in the hall and is crying because of the loss of his daughter.
Plain is true —— Princess Gulen's Silver Jubilee (6)
Princess Xichun's entry into the palace seems to have really brought unexpected blessings to the palace. Two months later, Princess Rongxian was born; A year later, the Crown Prince, Princess Duanjing and Prince Yin Cheng were born one after another. The whole Forbidden City presents a lively scene again.
Perhaps it was this encouraging exultation that infected Kangxi and made him feel grateful for this little niece who regarded her as her own daughter. Therefore, Princess Xichun became the first princess to be included in the royal family as an adopted daughter.
However, after these seemingly vigorous processes, the palace is as dull as ever. At this time, Princess Xichun had disappeared from the sight of the Emperor and the Empress Dowager.
However, this did not affect Princess Xichun's life. In fact, since she was sensible, she found herself different in this palace. Although Kangxi never mistreated her every time she was raised, although she got along well with her sisters, and even though the ladies-in-waiting eunuchs called her big princess, Koharu still knew her identity. A sense of dependence has been haunting her. In the palace, she has no shadow of the imperial concubine's mother, and she has no power to spoil-because she is not the emperor's own daughter at all.
However, Princess Xichun is not Lin Daiyu. This kind of growing experience did not make her sharp and sensitive, but instead made her develop a quiet, generous and plain character. Like most royal women, she believes in Buddhism. In the daily ritual, this quiet girl is more mature and cautious than her age. In this way, Princess Xichun spent her childhood and adolescence in a calm and peaceful state of mind.
Plain is true —— Princess Gulen's Silver Jubilee (7)
Twenty-nine years of Kangxi is an unforgettable year for Princess Xichun. In this year, Princess Xichun experienced the most important stage in her life-marriage.
It is a happy event for a girl to get married, but it is not a happy thing for a royal princess. Because her marriage is destined to be a political tool of Huairou Mongolia.
Bundhit, the husband chosen by Kangxi for Princess Xichun, is a Taiji in Horqin Mongolia. Piaopiao wants to say a few words about this marriage. In fact, Bundhit's Tai Chi status alone was not high in the Mongolian Middle School in Qing Dynasty. This identity basically only proves that he is of noble descent. The lowest-ranking Mongolian aristocrat recorded in Qing Draft, Fan Bu, is the first-class Tai Chi, which is equivalent to the status of the master of a town. Before PiaoPiao Piao wrote, among the pro-princesses, their pro-objects are at least at the county level. For example, Princess Heshuo Duanjing's forehead is connected with Garzang, which is the county king; Princess Gu Lun Rong Xian's attached forehead is the rank of county king plus prince; Gulun Princess Chunque's forehead is connected with Ling Ze, a super brave prince, while Gulun Princess Kejing's forehead is connected with Dundo Boudol, the King of Khan.
It is conceivable that the more noble the princess is, the more significant the political significance of this marriage will be. In this way, it seems that Princess Xichun's marriage did not play a very important role in the actual political situation. So why did Emperor Kangxi make such a choice when he married his daughter? According to Piaopiao, this is actually the embodiment of Emperor Kangxi's special love for Horqin Mongolia.
Speaking of which, there are many origins. Bundhit's grandfather's name is Chittat. You may not be familiar with Chittagong, but I'm afraid everyone knows Chittagong's own menstruation. This is sourdrang dowager.
I believe everyone is familiar with Horqin. Horqin is the earliest tribe in Monan Mongolia to join the Qing Dynasty. It is precisely because of this wise choice that Horqin, which was originally weak, became the largest part of Monan Mongolia with the support of the Qing government. And after decades, there have been four queens and several concubines. Of course, the Qing government always wanted to make Horqin a good example for Mongolian ministries, so the Qing government also took good care of Horqin, one of which was to marry a princess.
According to statistics, during the 300 years of the Qing Dynasty, eight royal princesses were married to Horqin, the largest number of marriages between Mongolian tribes and the royal family. Among them, Bundhit's grandfather, mentioned earlier, married the royal princess, the daughter of the filial piety queen. But in fact, the marriage peak between Horqin and Qing Dynasty was from Huang Taiji to the early years of Kangxi, and by the middle of Kangxi, Horqin was not as brilliant as before because of the balance of forces of various Mongolian ministries and the attachment of Kharka Mongolia. But Kangxi still noticed Horqin's appeasement. So I married the princess to Horqin, even if she was a Tai Chi.
Plain is true —— Princess Gulen's Silver Jubilee (8)
Piao Piao always wondered where Princess Xichun lived after marrying Bundhit. According to the introduction above, "After Bundhit died, the princess was very handsome in Beijing". It is said that before Bundhit died, the princess and his wife did not live in Beijing. However, when I saw Ben's experience as an official for the first time, there seemed to be some problems.
In his first life, Ban was "under the leadership of ministers, commanders and right-wing strikers". These official positions are recorded in the conscription of the Qing Dynasty:
Minister of the Interior and Governor's Office: The head of the Guards Department is the Minister of Guards, who is the first-class official. Home secretary, make one product first, then change one product. Six people each. There are two yellow, yellow and white flags. Rank minister, commander-in-chief, commander-in-chief of the Guards, full of college students, and Nate Jane in history. There is no limit to the number of ministers. Dong Shuai's bodyguard is in charge of the army, and Interior Minister Yi Wei is also the rank minister.
Right-wing forward command: forward command of forward battalion, positive grade two. The king, the public and ministers all have responsibilities. One is on the left and the other is on the right. Commanding the decrees of the vanguard, selecting Manchu and Mengrui soldiers and training their skills in due course. The leaders and guards are in charge of the vanguard, and the police are stationed in the guard.
In this way, all the positions held by Bundhit seem to be related to the Beijing Guards. Some are even the emperor's pro-army. Moreover, because of the importance of this official position, it can't be a paid idle position like a minister with a loose rank. So if it is not a free job, why doesn't Bundhit live in Beijing?
In addition, Bundhit was posthumously dubbed "Qin Gong", which seems to be a rare case among Mongolian princes. Only ministers who have really served the imperial court for a long time have posthumous title. Bundhit's posthumous title truly reflects his decades of hard work.
To sum up, Piao Pu speculated that Bundhit was later transferred to Beijing because of his attachment. This is precisely because he is just a Tai Chi in Horqin, unlike the county king and prince who can't leave the country for a long time.
Plain is Truth —— The Innocent Age of Princess Julun (9)
In fact, no matter where Princess Xichun lives after marriage, her life should be very calm. It is not difficult to see from the bits and pieces about Bundhit recorded in the drama that he is a very cautious person, and decades of polishing in North Korea have made him more docile and smooth. As for Princess Xichun, as we said earlier, gentleness has become her character and temperament. When something happens, she is naturally calm.
However, for the royal family, big princess, who has been married, seems to have been forgotten and even regarded as "a person outside my home". There is such a record in the History of Palace in Zhou Dynasty: "Cangzhen Gate is an important gateway, and big princess is a married person. Anyone who enters must inform the general manager to explain. "
Princess Xichun stood outside the palace gate, looked up at the high red wall, and listened to the eunuch's announcement that "she is a married woman", which naturally made her feel a little painful. But she is not sad, which seems to be expected. So the princess sighed lightly and turned away. Behind her is the Forbidden City, which is getting farther and farther away from her. It is the place where she once lived and never belongs to her. ......
This may be predestined, this is not her home. Her home, her destination, is the simple and honest Mongolian man waiting for her at the princess's house.
Plain is true —— Princess Gulen's Silver Jubilee (10)
In this way, although there may not be much love between husband and wife, they have been kind and respectful for decades. Both of them have a plain temperament, which makes their lives as calm and transparent as a pool of lake water next to a bodhi tree. This may be the reason why both of them live longer.
However, in the heart of Princess Xichun, the biological father Prince Gong is always a concern that is hard to give up. Perhaps, during his stay in Beijing, Prince Gong also visited his daughter, who can no longer call herself Amal. The brief and weak meeting across the thin gauze curtain is believed to have brought the greatest comfort to the father and daughter.
In the forty-second year of Kangxi, Prince Gong died. According to the regulations, Princess Xichun can't go to the coffin to mourn. So, she had to quietly put a small memorial tablet in front of the Buddhist shrine in the house. At this moment, she has no tears and no sadness. She just made a final prayer for her father with the merits accumulated by her most sincere dedication to Buddha in the past 30 years.
Plain is Real —— Princess Gulen's Silver Jubilee (XI)
Chunhua Qiushi, time flies. In the clear sound of wooden fish in Princess Xichun's mansion, the Forbidden City experienced a fierce blood shed around seizing the office. The exhausted Emperor Kangxi finally left the Jiangshan land and the throne that he loved very much, and he also changed to a new owner.
All this has nothing to do with Princess Xichun. ......
In February of the first year of Yongzheng, an imperial edict, like fifty years ago, once again cut the quiet life of Princess Xichun. Together with Duan Min and Jing Ke, she is called Princess Gulen. As a result, the Princess House became a lively place again, and the guests who came to congratulate were also in an endless stream, and Princess Xichun only treated these guests as a routine.
At this time, neither "Heshuo" nor "Gulun" is important to Princess Xichun.
Plain is true-Princess Julun's Silver Jubilee (12)
Thirteen years later, the attached class died. Cherish the spring princess still feel a little pain in my heart. After all, they have been married for more than forty years. Although dull, they have already become each other's dependence and habits, like three meals a day, like doing homework in the morning, like staying overnight in the morning, like dribs and drabs in a quiet life. ......
Princess Xichun stood alone in front of her husband's coffin, leaving the last tear in her life. This tear should be left when it was brought into the palace, when it was painfully married, when it was taken out of the palace, and when its father died. ......
In the last few years of Xichun's life, Princess Xichun always adhered to her own style and habits and faced all kinds of changes in her life with the most practical attitude. Among them, Xichun especially touched her sister, the daughter of the real emperor.
More than 60 years ago, it seems that it was the blessing she brought when she entered the palace that brought her sisters to the world. Now, Princess Xichun is sitting in front of the shrine, her eyes slightly closed, her hands clutching a string of beads, and sending them back to their original places with the most sincere prayers and turning, until this generation of golden branches and jade leaves is only her own. ......
Six years later, Princess Xichun finally came to the end of her life. She lay in the hospital bed, thinking about her life experience. In this stormy year, she has been on the shore, silently witnessing the changes in Yun Qi, as if she were just an outsider.
Cherish the spring secretly glad that he is just an outsider. ......
Only then did she understand that the real intention of the Buddha to let her come to this world in this capacity is to let her hear, see and witness-that is the decline and glory of an era. Now that her task has been completed, she can be as untidy as 70 years ago and never come from anywhere. ......
Suddenly, the rosary slipped from whose hand, and the broken beads rolled all over the floor. The crisp and vibrating voice seems to be a heavy sigh in the silent space, making a final farewell to this foggy world. However, no one will know how much little-known helplessness and bitterness are hidden behind this voice. In a short time, all the beads stopped, time solidified with life at this moment, and the last essence floating out of chaos disappeared, and everything was calm again. ......
