The hereditary title of the eldest son of Confucius began in 1055 (Song and two years). After the Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, Qing and Republic of China, the 76th generation of Confucius passed on the 75th grandson of the Duke (son of Kong Xiangke, son of Zi Gu Sun), who was born in 1877 (the third year of Guangxu).
The descendants of the Kong family are the 80th generation grandchildren, Kong Youren and Ren.
The Duke of Feast, the hereditary title of the grandson of Confucius' eldest son, began in 1055[ the second year of Song Dynasty], and went through Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, Qing and the Republic of China until 1935[ the twenty-fourth year of the Republic of China], when the national government changed the title of Duke of Feast Comte to an official with great achievements and outsmarts.
The canonization of descendants of Confucius began in 195 BC [the twelfth year of Emperor Gaozu], and the eighth grandson of Confucius was made a sacrifice to the monarch. Since then, Confucius' eldest grandson has been awarded a hereditary title. In the following thousand years, the title was changed repeatedly until 1055 [the second year of Song Gaozong] was renamed the Duke of Feast, once changed to a saint, and then changed back.
1935 [twenty-four years of the Republic of China], the government of the Republic of China abolished the title of Duke of Feast and replaced it with an official dedicated to Dacheng Zhisheng. The grandson of Confucius, the 77th generation, captured the feast Duke of Kong Decheng in 3 1 generation, becoming the last feast Duke and the first great sage to worship the official.
The Duke of Feast was a privileged big noble in China feudal society. In the song dynasty, he was equivalent to the eight-product official. In the Yuan Dynasty, he was promoted to the rank of three officials. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, he was a civil servant, and later he was the first in his class. In the Qing Dynasty, he was also chartered to ride horses in the Forbidden City and walk on the Imperial Road. The Duke's Mansion (now Confucius Mansion) where he lived was the largest mansion in China, second only to the imperial palace in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The Confucius family in Qufu, the legacy of emperors of past dynasties, has a well-organized pedigree and is knighted.

After the Northern Expedition of the National Government of the Republic of China, Kong Decheng felt that the hereditary title of the Duke of Feast should not exist in the Republic of China, so he took the initiative to request the government to revoke the title at 1935. The National Government of the Republic of China believed that orthodoxy could not be abolished, and changed the duke of feasting to a great sage, enjoying the status and treatment of a special official, equivalent to a minister, so Comte became the last duke of feasting in history and the first great sage to worship an official.
