Plot Introduction
Pierre Morhange (Jacques Perrin), a world-famous conductor, returned to his hometown in France to attend his mother's funeral, and his old friend Babino (Didia Ferramont) gave him an old diary. Looking at this diary left by Clement Mathieu (Gerald Juneau), the first music teacher of that year, Pierre slowly savored the teacher's state of mind in those days, and the memories of childhood came to his memory ... Clement was a brilliant musician, but in the French countryside in 1949, he didn't have the opportunity to develop his talents and eventually became an assistant teacher in a boarding school for boys, which had a nickname. After his arrival, Clemente found that the principal of the school (Francois Berleand) ruled this class of problem of juvenile by cruel and high-pressure means. Corporal punishment is common here. Clemente, who is quiet, tried to improve this situation in his own way. In his spare time, he would write some chorus songs, but to his surprise, there was no music class in this boarding school. He decided to use music to open the students' closed hearts.
Clemente began to teach students how to sing, but things didn't go smoothly. One of the biggest troublemakers was Pierre Maunier (played by Jean-Baptiste Maunier). Pierre had an angel's face and singing voice, but he had a troublesome personality. The persuasive Clemente discovered Pierre's musical talent, and at the same time he had a subtle relationship with Pierre's mother. A critic wrote such a passage for the film: "Unlike ordinary sad movies that use sadness to stir up emotions desperately, or hilarious comedies that are extremely exaggerated and funny, Spring of the Cowboy is a movie that makes people burst into tears because of joy. This also created a new concept of French film-sunny emotional film. There is no beauty and violence in this film; Good movies without action, murder and commercial elements have become chicken soup for the French people this year. "
"I sing, you sing, and he sings ... The film" Spring of the Cowboy Class "is like a thunderbolt, which makes the French choral cause flourish like mushrooms after rain. Today, * * * brings together hundreds of thousands of choral amateurs of all ages." This is a review in France.
