Because at that time, wrestling was regarded as a "low-level" profession that people could not take seriously. His family didn't support him, so Yang Ziming got up in the middle of the night and went to the woods to practice secretly. Eating steamed buns, watching a wrestling match amidst the echoes of Tianjin drums, and cheering for a while is a unique scene on the streets of Tianjin. At that time, the "Four Big Zhangs" who were the leading figures in Tianjin wrestling circles - Zhang Hongyu, Zhang Kuiyuan, Zhang Henian, and Zhang Liansheng were world-famous. Yang Ziming once learned skills from the "Four Big Zhangs" and improved his skills a lot.

After losing on the court many times, the gangster tried to plot against Yang Ziming behind his back but failed.
Due to Yang Ziming’s superb wrestling skills, he was invincible in Tianjin at that time. In order to protect their reputation, some seniors in the wrestling world wanted to let Zhang, one of the four major players in the Tianjin wrestling world, known as "Jiu Ye". Kui Yuan went to destroy Yang Ziming. But at that time, many seniors could not bear to do this. A senior who was called Ren Sanye once said: "We should not waste such a wrestling prodigy in Tianjin!" Later, Ren Sanye, Yu Qiye, Wang Lianyuan and others The senior came forward and arranged for Yang Ziming to become "Jiu Ye" as his teacher, and the matter was settled. In Yang Ziming's view, wrestling is not just about strength, but the unity of strength and skills. He inherited the fierce and natural tradition of Tianjin wrestling, integrating dexterity, speed and power, making the competition highly entertaining.
Among the many competitions, the one between Yang Ziming and Mongolian player Seng Ge was extremely fierce. Sengge, who is known for his ruthlessness, has flexible legs and strong strength. It is difficult to distinguish the winner from Yang Ziming, who is good at techniques and has delicate movements.
Due to his lack of age advantage, Yang Ziming had many bruises on his body after several rounds, but he never fell down. Instead, relying on his rich practical experience and excellent psychological quality, he used softness to overcome hardness to defeat Sengge. Come. As he got older, Yang Ziming began to work as a coach for the Hebei Provincial Team in the 1960s. During the ten years of turmoil, the wrestling team was forced to disband, and Yang Ziming reluctantly left the wrestling ring for a time. In 1973, the party committee assigned Yang Ziming to reorganize the wrestling team, and he cheered up and took on this important task. He went to all parts of the province to select students and devoted all his efforts to these up-and-comers.
He taught the new team members one by one the "hook", "biezi", "insert" and other unique tricks that he had developed over the years. Every time he taught a new move, he had to demonstrate it many times. , to correct the player's movements. In order to let the team members better understand the essentials of the movements, he also put on a wrestling suit and wrestled with the boys on the spot.

He also personally prepared sick meals for sick team members and delivered them to their beds. "Three points of martial arts, seven points of virtue" is the benchmark he teaches his students and children. From the time when his disciples are just starting out, and his descendants have been adhering to the principle of putting virtue first since they were young.
With the joint efforts of Yang Ziming and other coaches of the wrestling team, in the 1970s and 1980s, the Hebei wrestling team won dozens of gold medals in national competitions and submitted to the national training team Shipped many athletes. Many of Yang Ziming's students have also become famous coaches, such as Zhang Jianzhong, Shen Jingang, Guo Jiansheng, etc.
