Brief introduction of Jianfu Temple

Jianfu Temple is small in scale. The early abbot was a monk and his two apprentices. Food and clothing were provided by the ancestral hall, and the three disciples were able to live and practice. It was a rare clean Dojo in modern Tianjin temples. Monks who depend on mountains have a profound way of doing things and are enlightened monks. They were once praised by monks living in Dade and printed light in Shi Jing. After the death of Monk Yishan, his disciples succeeded him for more than 30 years.

Mr. Zhou Shutao, the grandson of Zhou Fu, is a progressive in Tianjin's industrial and commercial circles. 1949 volunteered to recommend Fuan, and since then Fuan has been managed by Tianjin Buddhist Association. In the mid-1950s, the Buddhist Association arranged for Master Mingzong, a Buddhist monk, to move to this temple, which became the Bhikuni Dojo. During the Cultural Revolution, this buddhist nun was severely damaged. 1April, 1996 18, the temple reopened, and with the efforts of the believers led by Master Miao Xian, it gradually recovered to today's scale.
