Bai Qi is a general of the Qin State. There are two versions of Bai Qi’s life experience:
(1) Bai Qi from aristocratic family
There are historical records, Bai Qi Qi is a native of Baijia Village, Yi County, Qin State. He comes from a military family. His father is a soldier and he has made many military exploits with the Qin Army. After having a son, he named him Bai Qi so that his son would be as powerful as Wu Qi, a famous general of the Warring States Period. When Bai Qi grew up, he was sent to the military camp. Because he was deeply influenced by his father since childhood, Bai Qi loved military affairs, was also very talented, and made many military exploits. In his spare time, he likes to study various military arts, coupled with long-term military practice, over time, he became an outstanding general who used troops like a god.
(2) The wolf child adopted by Miyue.
Everyone who has read "The Legend of Mi Yue" knows that when Mi Yue was imprisoned in Yiqu, she used a hosta to save a wolf boy who stole a sheep. This wolf boy had been walking with wolves since he was a child. , full of wildness and ferocity. Mi Yue rescued him and handed him over to Wei Ran for training in the army. She named him Bai Qi as a descendant of Bai Gongsheng, a member of the Mi clan. Because of Bai Qi's surprising ability to annihilate enemies, he was recommended as a general by Wei Ran.
Of course, the statements in "The Legend of Miyue" are purely dramatic works and cannot be believed.
Besides, why is Bai Qi called the God of War?
The reason is: Bai Qi has experienced more than 70 battles in his life without losing a single victory. He killed many people in his life. It is well documented that he beheaded and killed more than one million prisoners. We see that during the entire Warring States period, two million people died in war. In other words, half of them died in Bai Qi's hands, which earned him the nickname "Human Massacre". Of course, the people of Qin respected him as the "God of War".
Finally, let’s talk about Bai Qi’s ending.
After the Battle of Changping, Bai Qi prepared to destroy Zhao in one go, but his boss, King Qin Zhao, listened to Fan Ju and allowed Zhao to cede territory for peace, and ordered Bai Qi to withdraw his troops. However, after Bai Qi withdrew his troops, Zhao State not only refused to cede territory, but instead launched an alliance to resist Qin. So King Zhao of Qin ordered Bai Qi to lead troops to attack Zhao, but Bai Qi refused.
The reason why Bai Qi refused at that time was that Qin had lost its advantageous fighter opportunities and it was not appropriate to send troops again. There was no way King Qin sent out several generals one after another, but they all ended in disastrous defeats. Finally, King Zhao issued an order: Bai Qi was stripped of all his titles and titles, demoted to a soldier, and ordered to get out of Xianyang immediately.
Bai Qi was only halfway through the roll. King Qin Zhao became more and more angry, so he sent an envoy to give him a sword and ordered him to kill himself. According to historical records, Bai Qi took the sword and said to himself: "How did I end up in this situation?" After a while, he said again: "In the Battle of Changping, hundreds of thousands of people from Zhao surrendered. , I killed them all, I really deserve to die!" So he committed suicide with peace of mind.
