I don't know who has seen it, but there is a saying that it's okay, ghosts are not afraid to knock at the door in the middle of the night, so this legend can't be taken seriously.
In fact, Kangxi had such a good relationship with his grandmother, sourdrang dowager, that when his grandmother, sourdrang dowager, died, Kangxi went his own way and put the coffin of the empress dowager directly in Cining Palace, regardless of the opposition of all ministers.
With the passage of time, after the death of Kangxi, Yongzheng ascended the throne, and he buried sourdrang dowager's coffin. Since then, the so-called Cining Palace has become a sad old man and a desolate place.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Empress Dowager Cixi gave birth to the only son of Emperor Xianfeng, the later Tongzhi Emperor. Empress Dowager Cixi lived in Palace of Gathered Elegance when she was young.
She also gave birth to the Tongzhi Emperor in that place. She thinks that place is her gospel and her blessed land, and she doesn't want to move to Cining Palace.
