Treat the root cause of the problem and focus on farming.
First of all, let me explain that the foundation of governing the country lies in the development of agriculture. China has been founded on agriculture since ancient times. To this day, China is still an agricultural country. Farmers' issues and agricultural issues are still the top priority of the country. It would be a big mistake to fail to understand this objectively and to be blindly optimistic and think that we can completely solve China's agricultural and farmer problems through industrial and commercial means.
As mentioned above, Chinese culture originated in the Yellow River Basin. The Yellow River originates from the Yuegu Zonglie Basin under the Kunlun Mountains, converges at the Xingxiu Sea, passes through the Jishi Mountain, passes through nine twists and turns, and starts from the northwest plateau. When flowing down, the loess will be carried down, covering several provinces in North China, forming impact plains. The loess is fine, loose and not compacted, making it convenient for primitive agriculture. Moreover, there are countless vertical thin tubes in the loess, which can ensure the continuous upward infiltration of groundwater, even if it does not rain for a short period of time. This is an excellent natural condition for the development of agriculture. Therefore, since the Xia Dynasty, China's basic national policy has been agriculture. Even Mao Zedong proposed the eight-character agricultural policy of "secretly keeping soil, fertilizer, water, and seeds".
The development of agriculture requires water, and rainfall is one of the most basic factors. Rainfall in China's agricultural production areas is mainly concentrated in summer and March. It depends entirely on the southeast wind (called monsoon) blowing from the South China Sea (Philippine Sea), plus the westerly wind (called cyclone) sweeping horizontally from the Western Region (Xinjiang). The monsoon airflow increases and its temperature decreases, so that the clouds can cause rain. Only when there is wind can there be water. It can be seen that the Chinese people have a long history of talking about "Feng Shui".
If these two enemies meet at the wrong time and place, the farmer who depends on the sky for food will be in trouble. As soon as a disaster struck, the vassal states would fight for water and food. There are many records in "Zuo Zhuan" that the armies of neighboring countries crossed the border to seize other countries' crops, and the vassal states built dams to block water from each other and fought fiercely. There are as many as seventeen famines mentioned in "Mencius". This was one of the issues mentioned before when Duke Huan of Qi and Duke Wen of Jin met with the princes and made blood alliances. It can be seen that in order to develop agriculture, China needs to be unified. This is how Qin Shihuang later destroyed the six countries and unified the world.
The task of "Wuzi Farming" means to engage in and devote to it. Zhe is a pronoun. Instead of this, you must be engaged in it. What is this? It’s the two words “Jiao” mentioned later. The original meaning of the word "jia" is the ears and fruits of the seedlings. There is a saying in "The Book of Songs? Binfeng? July" that "the harvest will be harvested in October". The original meaning of "瑑" is to harvest crops. In later generations, spring plowing was called "Jiao" and autumn harvest was called "瑑". The word "crop" represents the entire agriculture, and generally refers to the entire agricultural production process of "growing in spring and growing in summer, harvesting in autumn and storing in winter".
